No the Brembos is only a standard option on the 6spd TL, and they are the ones that say ACURA on them, unless someone painted the calipers on the auto, or did a brake swap its not OEM.

Actually, the dealer installed A-SPEC package comes with brembo brakes for the auto. Most A-SPECs you see without the Brembo brakes is because most people, including mysef, purchase certain parts of the kit (eg. bodykit, suspension, etc.) and piece them together.
I've noticed that most do not care too much for the steering wheel and Brembos, because they prefer BBK.

I always thought the Brembos were only available for the 6MT, A-Spec or not. Even the A-Spec'd AT's I've seen have the regular brakes. I could've sworn that A-Spec'd ATs just get better break pads than the stock ones.

This is incorrect. Brembo brakes are standard equipment on manual transmission TLs. The Auto cars come with 1 piston regular sliding calipers. The A-spec package for auto cars come with better brake PADS, still utilizing stock calipers.

Sorry about the misinfo guys. I could've sworn I've read somewhere that the dealer installed A-Spec TLs (both MT and AT) came with brembos.

Thanks! Yeah, i installed it in that parking lot, which is 2 minutes from my house. My driveway is slanted so I didn't want to jack up my car at home.

Just put the wheels on cause it was so nice today. Washed her up and here are some pics for you to enjoy.

I need someone who can tint the car and add the moleskin. I would hate to see it all scratched up.

I got them in the Seattle Area...I think I paid about 300 US per rim plus 600 for the tires. 1800 US for the set....I got them last year and just had 3 of the four replaced under warranty due to chipping.

Hopefully I can come out to the meet....probably can;t make the trip up to whistler but will definately come hang out for a bit.

How do you guys think it would look with just the rear piece? I like the front and would rather the whole kit but lack of $$$ isnt gonna make that a possibility. I do like the back though. You guys think it would look weird?

thanks guys...

look forward to all the cars.
I just read your thread and realized everyone read your subject and posted pics.
I didn't scan through all the pages to see if you got your answer or not. Sure is a ton of proud A-Spec owners out there. :thumbs up:

The answer is ONLY THE MT has the brembo brakes. Doesn't matter if you get the A-Spec package or not. THE AT never gets Brembos with or without the A-Spec. THE AT with the A-Spec gets upgraded (bigger, beefier) brake pads on the front.

Hope that answers your question.

Which aspec wheels are they?? The original gunmeta 18x8.5 or the new ones??
And what tire specs are you using ??
Cause I have the same SSM and was looking to get the Gunmetal ones.. But don't want the wheels to look too dark..

I've got a question for those with a-spec bodykits -

I'm thinking about getting the kit for my AM TL but in just about every picture I've come across you can see the difference in paint between the car and the bodykit. Is it just the pictures or is it really that noticeable in person? Does it bother anyone? Is it going to be even more pronounced because my car is a little older (a year and three months)? Don't want to hijack the thread but figured this would be the best place to ask. Thanks.

I have an 04, and got the kit installed a month after I bought the car, which was like 3 months ago or so. And the paint matches almost perfectly.

The difference is not enough to be noticed, but there is a difference in the shade of metal pieces painted compared to plastic pieces like the bumpers.
