Post-Claybar/Zaino Pics (Large pics)

Hey guys...I had previously posted a thread regarding the rough surface of my hood, top, and trunk lid. You guys recommended that I claybar. Well, I read up on it and purchased at Pepboys.

Here's what I did...
1) Washed with Dawn dishwashing detergent to strip previous wax coat
2) Claybar'd (Mothers California Gold Clay Bar )
3) Washed with the Zaino car wash
4) Polished with Zaino show car polish
5) Quick polish after a few hours of sitting in full sun (Meguiar Mist & Wipe Polish)
I'll do another coat of Zaino this coming weekend.

...and WOW! The results are amazing. I wish I would have taken some 'before' shots. I'm positive the difference would be visible in the pics.

Nice job!!! btw...have you tried the new Zaino Z-8 spray? I got some a few weeks ago, and compared to the Z-6, there is a slight improvement in gloss and depth of shine although I don't think it's worth the additional cost.

The weather in Raleigh was awesome on Sunday! It took me about 5-6 hours to do inside and out.

I took the pics over off of Edwards Mill Road, at an office building. I think it might be called Glenn Lake? Anyway, it's near Crabtree Valley mall.

As far as Zaino products go, I've only used the wash, polish, and leather conditioner thus far. I'm not all that impressed with the polish yet...but I've been told repeatedly that I need a few coats to really see the benefits.

Hey...if you NC guys ever figure out how to clear your headlights...let me know.

I'm a little nervous about doing that all by myself.

The claybar is great! I bought a used '02 and couldn't even wax the car! It felt like sandpaper, literally. Someone told me about the claybar so I tried it and it makes a world of difference. Try www.griotsgarage.com for some more good car-care stuff.

hey guys, i just waxed my car for the first time today. I only had time to do one coat of polish and one coat of wax. Is that why my car isn't getting a nice shine? Do i need to add more coats of polish???? And if i do, can i just add it on top of the wax?
