Plasti-Dip fun!

So I was bored and found some extra plasti dip I had and decided to test out a few things. The "tint" I used for my reflectors fell off . And I was not going to pay $60 to get them tinted when I am getting new headlights soon from Ack.

So I spray painted the reflectors with plasti dip. I did about 4 coats. No need to mask no need to sand. Took me 40 min. I then decided to black out my turn signal mirrors. The driver side mirror has 4 coats but the signal is hard to see during the day and the passenger mirror has 3 coats and you can see that fine.

For my taillights. I might apply clear plasti dip then have them painted with VHT nightshades. When I get bored with the look I just peel it off.

The can of plasti dip was $5.80. I have my grille blacked out using this stuff and its been a few weeks and its holding up fine. You can get a can from Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart. If you want some crazy colors like blue or something ordering online would be your best bet.

lol ^ justin.

Yes light comes perfect. Its not much different then taking VHT nightshades and painting your lights. If anyone wants a video let me know I will take one at dusk.

why?....i feel like people who paint the outside of their headlights are just too lazy to open up the headlights and paint it right...from the INSIDE

I think you are having a little to much fun there with it. LOL I used it for my Emblems and going to do my front emblem and maybe parts of the grill. But thats all I think ill use it for. I might charge my friends to black their emblems out as well make sure the can pays for it self

LMFAO You are so Right... They just Keep going and going huh? Anyways I was thinking of Plasti-Diping my Whole car to see how it would look in Black. Any Feedback? Ha ha Im J/K Everyone

Something Really Cool ive seen people do with this Stuff is Paint their wheels with it as a primer. Then on top of the Plasti-Dip Paint the Wheels with a real paint. Which ever color you want. This way you can still peal off the plasti-dip even with the real pain on top. Pretty Nifty Idea I must say, But be a sure i will not be doing this...
