Anybody Know A Good Way To Get Off The Painted Stripes

 

I'd be back at that dealership and in the salespersons office, pronto!!! NO 80's looking pinstriping!!!

Why did the dealer put on pinstripes? Did the sales person have bellbottoms on? Hideous!

 

Its just like a sticker slowly get one end off and just remove it slowly.

i know ice.. i can't stop thinking about it.. i think they will do it for me.. i used some easy off oven cleaner on a part of it to see how it comes off and if it leaves any shadow underneath. seems perfect though it takes toooo loooong!!!!

I've seen this with the "Proctection Package" = pinstripe, wheel locks, trunk tray, splashguards. Its so they can justify charging $800 for this stuff that should be free or cost $80. I don't want it either.

Acura in Fort Myers Florida and Fort Walton Beach put it on all their TL's. Luckily Proctor Acura in Tallahasee where I'll be buying doesn't.

Tell them fools (your dealer) to give you another car. Pinstripes are crazy on the TL

 

I've never seen such a thing.

The dealer put it on--they can take it off. I had my Honda dealer take it off my Civic several years back. Look at the car carefully before you pick it back up. It should be perfect, like the pinstriping was never there.

 

Painted are you sure? Lexus uses stickers.

Take it to the dealer and have them remove it.....

 

No they were painted on.. I used nail polish remover. The one with no acetate.. came off very very very easily.. took about 3 minutes to get it all off..
