Pictures of Aftermarket Decklid Spoiler
Here are some shots of the aftermarket decklid spoiler I purchased off ebay, these were taken with a canon S70 Powershot @ 1600x1200... Purchased the spoiler for $140. Great packaging, and it matches the car very nicely, which is tough with WDP.

Install was actually interesting, it took me about 15 minutes to apply it, I decided to just use the 3m double tape method. The spoiler does ship with screws and directions to manually mount it to the trunk, but I didnt exactly feel like screwing through my trunk.. Here are the directions he included..
- Clean and wipe area. Be sure no wax is present on surface
- Set Spoiler on trunk and mark location of spoiler
- Remove tape backing and stick spoiler on
- Press firmly and let the spoiler sit before you wash it.
Pretty easy automata, it took me longer to take it out of all the packaging then to apply it to my TL

I bought one also.... and gave it to the dealer to install when they did the aspec... but the morons did it while it was 0 degrees (literally) didnt let anything warm up...so it didnt stick... just got more of the 3m tape...and when its warm ill install it...
but, it looks good!

Haha I dont have michigan weather in San Diego, however I go to college in Oregon, and lemme tell you something cold weather around 30 fahrenheit is god damn cold for me, I dont know how I'd get by in crazy snow like in the midwest and east coast... God bless Southern California..
92NSX, Yes it did come prepainted, it was a great deal for sure, It looks identical to my stock WDP color as well, very happy with it.

Keep your eye on that decklid spoiler. I'm pretty sure mine would be on the side of the road if i hadn't drilled the two holes in the trunk and secured it with the nut and bolt. I can lift up on the edges of the spoiler, but with it being bolted to the trunk its not going anywhere.

I installed it early this morning, and drove all today at high speeds on teh freeway, probably maxing out @ 90mph, it's still firmly fastened to the back of my trunk, and It's showing no signs of falling off...

With time and exposure to the elements it may start to become detached. It should be fine for now, just be sure to check it every now and then.

This isn't a TL thing, but I had a 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo before my 04 TL. I replaced the spoiler on it after about two years and it was a serious pain in the a** to remove the old one. I don't know if this aftermarket spoiler uses the same tape or not, but there's no way it'll come off under regular driving.

I tried to see if the spoiler was coming off at all today, and it is already severely attached to the back of the vehicle, I am 100% there is no point in actually bolting the decklid spoiler to the back of the car
Guys dont put holes on your trunk, just tape it up
