Picture request: Headlight related
I've tried searching but its kind of an exact thing to search for. I am getting some type s headlights modded by ack. I am going to be doing the amber piece of diffuser with cf wrap, blacked out strip and hid rings, and zkwr swap. I am considering blacking out behind the clear part of diffuser but I'd like to see a pic of that first but also showing switchbacks in the picture. I am worried you will be able to see the switchbacks more with the black behind it instead of the reflective surface. and if anybody has pics of this setup with or without sb's please post. thanks guys and gals

You know the turn signal's visability would be GREATLY reduced, correct?
I think most people do blacked out V2 which means the turn signal reflector is partially painted to give the headlights a darker look, while still retaining some of the reflector for visibile light

Jelly, here are my Type S headlights. I did mine-they were not done by AckTL
These are cleared with carbon fiber inserts. We obviously added the LED's inside the headlight too.
Here is a picture with the cleared headlight plus a picture with the switchback working.
Maybe this would be an option for you.

Lol Steven, your headlights have nothing that he is looking for!
A set of headlights I did myself had the turn signal reflector painted black, with CF wrapped inserts (for corners), and black bezels.

^^^that looks nice...
I actually bought a set of chrome reflectors from someone because I got annoyed at how much it cut the light from the side of the car...you can see it head on, but not very well from side.
BUT, I will mention based on my smoked tails with LED turn signals, when off, they were definitely SUPER noticeable since you could look right through it and the black offered contrast that the chrome hides.
Based on Brian's though...you'll be good...his car is nice and although I was like WTF, the first time I saw that orange setup, I get it now...pretty cool.

Blacked out reflector with switchbacks.
Attachment 115138
In the day they basically don't reflect at all, but at night it works well enough.
