What did this work of art set you back? Just curious to know how well Peoria treats their clientele.

Well traded in a 05 4runner and they gave me a pretty good deal with trade in. They gave me 23,000 for trade in. The cost was $43,000. They were really good well after I went home and called them back on the phone and told them I could get a better deal somewere else they were willing to deal then. They didn't want to come down on the window price till I said well I will be going to Scottsdale. Then they were willing to give me what I wanted for trade in and off the price listed.
At first they only wanted to give 19,000 for the 4runner but it had very low miles and it was in excelent shape, not 2 years old quite yet. But I have to say they did well when it all ended. Got everything on it and very Happy!

Did the bottom fall out of the 4Runner resale value or what? I got almost what you got for my 2005 Toyota Prius was $28k new; I sold it private party though since trade in is just burning several thousand dollars.

The 43,000 is not the out the door price, that is before the trade in.
Kinda crazy never thought I would pay that for a car like this but then here we are with one. Kinda crazy to think we payed $8,000 more for a C6. BUt it is Luxury, hate to say it but I like this car more then the Cadillac.

Jayok, Thats all they would give with the trade in, With Kelly Blue book it was worth more but didn't feel like taken the extra time to sell it our selfs. So yep lost out on the extra couple grand. Dumb maybe but less troubles having to sell it our self and waiting to see if tha buyer will actually buy it or waste our time.

Don't all Acuras come fully loaded though? I mean besides the A-Spec kit but you don't even have that. It's looking hot though! You're going to love it more as time goes by.

Eh? Sorry, I don't get it. Loaded with what exactly?

Stock, the TL-S is "loaded" and only stickers at ~$39k. Loaded as in:

- Voice Active Navi
- Dual Climate Control
- Active Noise Cancellation
- Leather
- Etc
- Etc
- Etc

What is your TL-S "Loaded" with that costs $4k more?

I am sure you are all into cars and all but, I am not that big into this car like a lot of you are, Its more of a family car. Thats what are vette is for.
But it is a great car. I am not trying to be a smart ass like you might be trying to be, I am not sure but thats, that!
Do you need to know anything else? Out the door should have explained pretty much why it costed 43,000 out the door. (w/tax....) Guess I would have figured that out and others. Next time I will explain it a little better.
'Guess well I rounded off the $43,000 Maybe I should have listed the price as $42895 also?
Sorry now I am being the smart ass..lol

I just wish I was the car dealer that dealt with you that day... he killed you...

Not sure what they "upgraded" for you on the TL-S, it comes with everything already upgraded. There is no known aftermarket exhaust so they didn't ADD that, I'm pretty sure they didn't install new Rotora or racingbrake rotors, it comes with Brembos brakes, I see no "A-Spec body lit", or any other accessory add on (maybe lojack added for a few hundred)... So it certainly appears you paid $2-3K OVER sticker plus tax, tags and licensing.
Ouch.

They gouged you on the price of the TL...

and probably raped you on the value of your trade in... I can't estimate that unless I know the specs of your 4runner.

Needless to say, take someone who knows something "about cars", and "about money" next time you go buy a new, they'll save you thousands.

07WDTLS,

I do not think anyone is trying to be a smartass, rather they shocked that the dealer sold you a car for so much. Especially for a car which has been going out the door at about $36k-$38k (US Dollar in case you are in Canada).

The TL-S always comes fully loaded, so is there anything you had added to the package that does not come with the standard TL-S (besides Lo-Jack)? ie. Did you buy a additional warranty? did you get the 3M guard.

You mentioned that you have a DVD player included (which is not a standard feature), was this an additional cost?

I know a few of the comments on here may give you buyers remorse, but we just want to make sure that you are informed that the dealer made a lot of money on this deal and that you should probably buy your next car from a different dealer.

Congrats on a beautiful car!

So, this price thing became something of a controversy. Several things to consider - 1) the sales tax in the cities around Phx runs at 7-8%; 2) it sounds like he was able to negotiate in several extras straight from the dealer that added to the cost; and 3) my experience with the Arizona dealers is that they aren't as competitive on price as many other places (there are 4 in the Phx area, but they are spread quite a distance apart and it is often a hollow threat to say you'll go elsewhere and they know it).

CHRIST, GET OFF HIM!!!

Hey Dude,
Nice car. I noticed people are really hounding you about this. But I looked at some of these posts. And that would mean that all these people got thier brand new 2007 Acura TL-S at the very low sticker price of approxiamately $32,000 fully loaded. I've never seen a brand new TL with that price on the sticker. And what ever state they live in, I want thier sales tax. HOLY DOLY!!! $43,000 sounds average to me(out the door)

OH my god..............................Is that a C6 sitting in your garage too(slight sarcasm)

white would have been my next color. Like someone else, I also got my blue tl-s for 35800. I also traded in the 06 TL.

I am curious about your dvd player and the headrest with screens. I am looking to do something similar. Where are you getting this done; how much; and what products?

i guess you didn't pay too much for your tls. since $38900(msrp) + 2000(dvd) = $40,900.

they must be installing high-end screens and dvd player since its costing you $2g.

I can't believe that have such high sales tax on cars. Oklahoma has 3.25% excise tax on vehicles and that set me back around $1,200. Paying $3,000 for sales tax on a $38k car just seems crazy. Gotta love Uncle Sam. With any luck the democrats will take over and raise the taxes more
