Looks great!! I've been wanting to do this for a while, just lacking the time. Now that grill of mine is screaming for some WDP.

Oh yeah I forgot to ask...what were you quoted? I'm not interested so much in the price but rather the labor time and parts totals, as I can just apply my local labor rate to whatever you were given. Thanks.

Looks good, what do you think of a body colored grill or a black grill on an ASM?

Well what I did was I ordered the three grill pieces from Tim at hondacuraworld. They ran me about 100 bucks. I then dropped them off at my dealers body shop. They charged me about 1.2 hours labor to paint them. It wouldve been more if I left my car there but I had bought the pieces separate so i didnt have to. That ran me about 80 bucks. I installed the pieces myself. They're not that bad. The only one that was a pain in that ass was the bottom U shaped one. Thats held on with clips. After I picked up the parts I went over and talked to my buddy at the dealer, hes the head mechanic there. He told me that I would have to remove the whole bumper to get to it. I got home and was like 'fuck that" so I got to them my own way. When you're ready let me know, Ill PM you how I did it. The reason I ordered the grill pieces separate was because I wanted to have an extra set on hand just in case things went bad.

It sounds really stupid, but can't you just paint it yourself? I mean when I had my CL-S, I painted mine and it matched really well without any chipping for 2 years. (sanding + spray paint 3 times) and everyone in that forum seemed to do it that way also.
Now, I'm searching in this 3g tl forum, and people seem to take it to the body shops. Is it because different material? or just make sure it's perfect?
I was going to ask it later as a new thread, but since I found this maybe someone could help me?

I'd have a body shop do mine to make sure it turns out perfect and the color is matched.

I think the grille on the dark colored TLs look a lot cleaner with the trim pieces color matched.

Nice job!

not bad...how much does something like that run?
I liked the RonJon grill but after seeing the price I think its a little out of my range.
$410 unpainted I think is a lot considering its almost a 1/4 of the full body kit painted.

Did it all for about 180 bones. Keep in mind I bought the extra pieces. Im sure it would be much cheaper if you take your car in and leave it with a body shop. They'll charge you a little more for removing it but it will still be cheaper then what I did it for.

If I remember correctly the body chop wanted like 120 for me to leave it.

I think the bronze look matching the emblem would look better on a WDP. I dont think matching it to white would look that great...
