Nope... my boss has this car and i park next to him everyday BIG differnce... its closer to the 350z orange than anything else ive seen

It looks like the same orange color that was used on some Nissan/Infiniti models. The previous generation Maxima, 350Z and Infiniti FX models come to mind.

This car has lot of potential...minus tints orange emblems and those ugly tails....

 

I thought this thread was gonna be some joke at first, but after actually seeing an "Orange TL" I'm pleasantly surprised at how good it actually looks. can't wait to see it when you're all done with it.

Looks good, If your going to do your headlights leave the amber reflectors, type s headlights would be ideal tho.

 

Dude, I like the orange "A" on the front grill-it breaks up all the black.

Take off the front license plate, if you don't need it (where you live).

I don't like the orange "A" but I also don't like the blacked out "A" when the rest of the grill is blacked out. Sooo I really dunno what color the the "A" should be to look best . Shit. I'm stuck in a tur. Finishing up my 6 pack.

Hmmm...Blaze Orange Metallic? I had an RSX in this color (if I'm right) and I miss the fk out of it. Great job!

And yes, there are suggestions etc...but overall it does look great, believe it or not, I thought you had the tail tint removed and thought 'good call".

Check out unique style racing...Simon is the guys name...they are a vendor on the site. He sells "ghost" tails and smoked looking tails on ebay or thru his store (google that name).

OR, send what you like to Ack05TL and have him customize your oem ones (or aftermarket ones). I get you on the removal of color...I'm doing something similar on mine. I'm super jelly of your color...I wish my TL was BOM.

I wonder if I'm right about the color. Better get that paint code while you still know the previous owner for touchups and repairs down the line!

In looking at the pics again, this car might already be slightly lowered on springs or something...doesn't look stock height.

Also, what about having Ack open up the tails...smoke everything and paint the bezel to match the car? Then, you can also do a color matched bezel on the headlight. If done cleanly and right, this could work, I'm convinced. Then maybe get some good aftermarket wheels...but go silver/gunmetal or something to make it less "theme-ie" and get the orange lugs to match like you said.

This car has the potential to be the star 3G of this site, if done properly.

Disclaimer: some or all of my ideas might be overkill...was just thinking out loud but I think the painted bezels would look killer...someone with PS skills, hook it up!??!

This is what I would do:
1> drop
2> aspec kit with the outlines painted black (see a WDP car and how the outlines of the ASPEC kit are painted black for contrast)
3> paint the front emblem back to UOP (Unique Orangle Pearl)
4> Vinyl your roof black
5> USR blacked out headlights and taillights and side markers

This is a very very different color and can be pulled off very well....car has potential

 

You know, with a color this unique, I'm not sure if I would take away from it by making the roof black.

I'm starting to really like this color!

 

wen it was first painted the roof was orange to. previous owner's friend kept telling him to do the black roof and he went back and did it

I'd never rock that color, but gotta say it looks pretty well done. +1 on the tails and other subtle treatments that would class it back up a bit. Enjoy the mod process and keep us posted.
