for some reason I love love love the stock wheels on your car! If you got them polished or machined that would look bad ass. Did you raise your car up?

Eh.. I like the clean look.. but not enough to keep these on. I miss having decent fitment. I did not raise it.

Having a little issue. Started having lower back problems last week and driving a lowered car with stiff suspension made it much worse. Debating what I want to do with her now, if I should stop driving it for a while or something. Any recommendations for stiffness setting on Tein? I had it at full stiff so I don't rub too much with my last wheels but don't know where to start. Hopefully softening it up helps a bit..

full soft and not maxed is very forgiving...
going bigger on wheel and smaller on sidewall is not the right path either.

stupid question but, how's your mattress?

I thought about raising it up when the pain subsides. My mattress is a little bit over a year old and hasn't caused this pain before..

That's what I'm thinking about doing.. what sucks is that I already think it's pretty high. But I can't keep driving it as is..

that's a sickness you have to get over.
Or go buy a truck or something you can live with not being lowered.

Go 6 in front and 8 in rear. Even if you don't go that soft at least put your rear 2 clicks softer than your front. Makes a world of difference for comfort. Hope you feel better man the back makes or breaks your quality of life! I design implants and instruments for spinal surgery so I've seen some crazy things but get looked at asap if it's still bad

Funny but one time I sold my mountain bike because my mattress sucked...
and
when I first got the V, it coincided with this wretched lower back pain...
I was convinced it was the cause and wanted to sell the car immediately.
Turns out it's one of the most comfy seats I've ever sat in.

Just no strenuous activity and give it time to do it's thing, man...it'll go back to normal.

I agree with that. Where I live I'm always around modified and stances cars and it gives me the itch to do something crazier...

I'm going to start with softening it up. I'm a little bit worried I'll bottom out on bumps more often though..

When you were maxed on Tein SS, what level of dampening did you go with..? I am going to soften it but I want to make sure that I'm not hitting the ground on dips..

Wired up my halos! Wasn't too hard but it was my first time doing electrical! Feel more confident with it so will get some inspire fog lights soon.

Just a few updates. I installed Lamin X clear film on my headlights to keep them clear. I removed my HIC rear visor just for a sleek look but I think I like it better with it on. My friends and I did a secret santa event with embarrassing decals and the one I got is shown below. Its not too bad but I have to keep it on for at least 2 weeks. A couple days ago, I also replaced my new Akebono pads with Stoptechs, like I had before, because the Akebonos squealed like crazy. Lastly, I wrapped my hood and rear license plate trim in black chrome and got all season floor mats from WeatherTech..

Removed HIC Rear visor

Secret Santa decal I have to have for 2 weeks....

After 1 day of Stoptech brake pads... SO dirty but no noise! You gain some you lose some..

Wrapped trim

I don't know what is going on with the pedals, it came with the car and I never bothered to adjust it.

Another update.. dropped her off to my mechanic to fix my oil leak.. It has been progressively getting worse and before I put my wheels on, I want it to be taken care of. I have my tires coming in this week too so wheels should be on soon! I raised the car an inch so it is easier for the mechanic to lift it up. It is about 1 finger gap all around. Once I have the wheels on, I will work on the height. I want a bit more functional of a height.

I feel you on that...looking cool and driving cool have to go hand in hand.
Yeah, looks like whoever installed the pedals didn't remove the oem rubber on the pedal before install.
Then again, who cares!

that damn oil leak strikes again! i'm still on the "top it off" plan haha. what was your final cost for the fix? I'm guessing 700 or so?

also agree on your plan on a more functional height, i did that last year and i think my car still looks good while allowing for some spirited driving!

which wheels did you get again?

I bet it drives like a dream at that height.. but I raised it at the shop so I haven't driven it yet. I actually don't even mind the wheel gap!

Yes, I had a free oil change from Acura and they did a full inspection, it is from the oil pump.

I originally would just top it off but I didn't realize it was getting worse over time. Last year I would get a drop here and there but after a 250 mile round trip last week, I left about a 3 inch line on my garage floor.. Final cost I am actually estimating about 350-400. My mechanic doesn't have a high labor rate and the manager returns 50% of the labor cost because he is a family friend.. I will let you know when I pick the car up hopefully in a couple days. I got TE37 reps..

Picked my car up and threw my wheels on. However, my car went into limp mode after a couple hours so it's back at the shop getting diagnosed... Wasn't really a fan of black wheels but I love how these look.

Turns out that my car went into limp mode because my vtec solenoid wasn't plugged in properly. All is good now. Here are a couple more pics of the new wheels! Probably going to paint the wheels soon, debating between gloss white or matte silver..
