NoVA Rt 66 Mini Meet
Last Sunday, few unofficial members of NoVA TLers decided to gather for some "fun in the sun", however little did we know how interesting the day progressed......those who were there could attest "fun" can come in many different forms.....enjoy.
Unofficial NoVA TL club presents: Checklist to Successful Meet on the Road:
Fuel required to destination..........................3.4 gal (Quantico, VA to Meet)
Time for travel...........................................45min
# of TL.................................................. ...5
# of VOTTL (Vehicles Other Than TL).............2
having a mini meet on the side of the road and witnessing a Toyota side swipe a fellow TL as the State Trooper foams at the mouth over a set of rims all while blowing an engine ………..............PRICELESS.
THE GOOD-the gathering has begun....
if u build it, they will come
the clan establishing the new meet site
nothing to see here Trooper, move on
and the "foam" begins to collect as he points out his dream set of rims
THE BAD
the blown 3.6 engine; u push, i'll steer.... (hay, hay, hay i know what your thinking...dirty minds at work)
is it fixed?
The smoking gun.....
3.2 to 3.6
THE UGLY-the calm b/f the storm.......
before the "side swipe"
after........
ooooh, thats gonna leave a mark
mirrors....who needs'em?!
misc pics-out of commission.....temporarily
she'll be back.....in a couple weeks.
and the TL wins by a mile!!
custom fab 3.6 in a Honda Accord
Type-S rims doing what they do best.... spreading the love.

moderator can close this so i can resubmit with larger pics?
having a meet on the the side of the road not the plan, however, once we had a TL go down "we leave no one behind" so we brought the meet to us. I would not recommend an actual meet on the shoulder for obvious reasons but needless to say, we all overcame and adapted.

Thank you for the pictures Jordan & Alex.
I hope I never see something like this in my life it just whent from bad to worse.
I know the 3.6 wil be back and for CJ now you could get does type S mirrors that you wanted and the A-SPEC skirts
Glad everyone is safe because it could have been worse

Somebody doesn't know how to drive...that TL was at least three feet from the line, which means it was at least five feet from where the side of the Toyota should've been. At least the trooper was cool about you guys staging on the side of the interstate.

Wow lots of views! I can't believe that FAG hit my car! I'm just glad I'm ok and I wasn't standing there at the time! Estimate was a little over a $1k. I'm defiantly getting Type-S Mirrors along with some a-spec sides. Hopefully it flows nice with the RonJon front and a-spec rear. Hummm...might go ahead and get some type-s tails and start customizing them now

Thanks bro, yes that's the lowest perch, I'm going to take better pictures so you guys can see the rear gap, I love the front is just the rear that is driving me crazy.

Wow, lots of traffic here.. haha yeah I have my pictures I can post up when i get back home. I am in Pittsburgh now on a work trip, Ill be back tmr (friday). Next event for me is this Sunday for College park, not sure if anyone saw that thread yet or if we can convo up for that. **Crossing my fingers** we dont have any blown motors, accidents or injuries!
Oh yeah, and thank god that loser didnt hit my m3 too!!! It was only a foot in front of CJ's TL and it was closer to the freeway than his. All and all it was an unforgettable meet and I think we are all happy we are safe! More pictures to come later tmr.
