NIGHTEHAWK's progress thread (Updated 2/14/13)

I'd like to first introduce myself because I never really did when I joined. My name is Roberto, but friends and family call me Rob or Robert, I bought my NBP back in may and it already had wheels and a tint, I joined Azine around that time also, I just recently started modding and hopefully I can make it look like I want by the end of the year. My previous car was this 01 eclipse spyder.

and this was the TL the day I picked it up.

My first mod was debadging, which I gotta say, it's ok but I kinda liked my chromed letters.

Second mod was the blacked out front grille, I think it took a total of 3-4 hours, this is my favorite mod because no other TL here has it, and when they look at my car the seem surprised like, is that from the factory?

third mod was just completed yesterday, I did the blinking sidemaker mod and could'nt be happier with the results.

I also did the PS flush with amsoil, transmission fluid 2x3 and a redline oil change

And I also got my stickers, I remember asking for silver but white will do.

I had a system in it but ook it out so I didnt post pics but its in my sig if you want to know what it is.
I will update this thread as soon as I get my INC coilovers from the group buy next month, and also hopefully some new wheels.

Looks very clean! Awesome how you bought it with custom rims and window tint already done for you! Blacked my grill out too and love how it looks

Nice TL! I see you already got the RedLine Racing ATF!

You should definitely check this thread out. It tells you the optimum % of RedLine racing ATF and D4 that you should use for BEST results. It includes doing a full drain and refill 3 to 4 times, not just drain and fill once.

RedLine ATF thread - https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...ht=optimal+atf

You need to post a youtube video of your blinking side marker mod! If you did post one, it's not working lol.

And as for your front grill being blacked out and "because no other TL here has it" do you mean 'here' as in the city you live in, or 'here' as on here on ACURAZINE ??

To my understanding, they still haven't been able to blink in sync correct? I will be working on that and see if I can do it.

Here is a little progress done this week.
true dual exhaust, just like swoosh, except for the mufflers.
mufflers magnaflow #14816 x2
mid muffler magnaflow #11385

that noise in the background is my radar BTW
when I got them

Then I got these, but they wont get installed till this next week.

I also have an A-SPEC type-S rear lip, which is on its way, thats why the muffler tips look long.

hehe yes, it is annoying, but it cost $50 so its cool till I get a better one.
It might be, it will be fixed when I install the rear lip.

Yes and no, I got the coils from ACK in a group buy, $850 shipped. $260 shipped for the A-spec rear lip, $467 for the mufflers, and $270 for pipes and labor. My cousin is the manager at the shop, he hooked it up. wait, yes I did, I just added all these numbers....DAMN, Acurazine did steal my money!

ISC is a company that just started making coilovers for acuras, here's the link.
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-tires-wheels-suspension-97/excelerate-performance-xlr8-coilover-group-buy-844728/

here are some pics after the lip, I will be getting them aligned and maybe I can me the end tip shorter too.

Hey fellas, I got a little update, after months of waiting, I finally got my coilovers installed Yesterday. I also ordered some new wheels and tires but I won't receive those til next week or so.

This was the interior with the rear seats removed...removing and re installing.the seats was a b!tch

This is one of the coils installed.

This is how it sits now

The tips on the magnaflows were too long so I got them staggered

Also got a injen cai

That's all I got for now, I'll post picks as soon as I get my wheels.
