Night shots

Been planning to do these for a while now, and i was kinda in a down mood (really) so I felt like cheering myself up by taking some pics. enjoy....

thanks man. i just took them a while ago. it is a clear night here and there is a moon out. below is one shot before post processing...

- 30 sec exposure
- F/5 aperture
- 39mm
- ISO 200
- Manual exposure
- 0 exposure compensation

Nice pics!!! Do you need like an SLR to get night pics light that? Everytime I take night pics on my SD450 they turn out grainy and blurry

yes this were all taken with a Digital Rebel XT. the background is some oil wells and the orange light comes from the port district of the city of Long Beach.

this is the same spot where I took these pics:









but since it was night, the houses didnt make good backgrounds so i focused on the other side

looking hella good. what lighting did you use for those night shots? they came out great. you had to have used more than just parking lighting or moon light, right?

just available moon light (see the comparison shots). did some minor post processing afterwards to boost that available light but thats it. there were no street lights where i shot those. all were shot at 30-sec time exposures.

Pictures look really good. I like the background on them. It must be wonderful living in cali with days like that. What I would die for to have nights like that. Car looks good though, makes me really consider that I got white instead of black.

its still on for tomorrow. i hope that the weather would be good (not too sunny). otherwise if its too bright, it isnt a good day to take pics.
