Night lights + rolling shots: TL, TSXx2, tC

A little update on my car: 20% tints BACK on, and door visors installed yesterday.
Fogs coming soon with 6000K HIDs.

Shots taken by my friend with the blue TSX (ronjon servos) nikon d300

Night rolling shots are a BITCH and are extremely difficult to capture, it is what it is!

Nice! Those Enkeis look offly small though...
A little off topic but how do you take rolling shots by the way? The last time my friend and I tried.. we kept getting massive blurs of my car. And I even tried driving at 10km/h instead of 30km/h!

cool shots, brian...

1st and 2nd pic are my favs...i like the lights shining between the TSX and your TL from the other cars...and who can resist a good car stare down...

Komodo...there's numerous reasons you're getting blur in your rolling shots...if it's daylight you shouldn't have a problem unless your shutter isn't opening and closing fast enough...slower shutter = more blur (on a moving object)...

if it's night when you're taking these shots then it's probably because your camera is trying to soak in all the lights for your image, which requires your shutter to stay open longer, which means blur...try cranking up your ISO (film/capture sensitivity), that way it doesn't need as long to capture the details in your shot...but keep in the mind, the higher the ISO = more noise in your images...also see what lens you're using...a larger aperture (smaller f-stop number...i.e. 2.8, 1.4, etc.) is better than a smaller one (larger f-stop number...5.6, 8, etc.)...

good luck!

Yeah... I tried at night, in a parking lot with pretty good lighting... ISO was set to 100. I understand the whole ISO ordeal, hence why I try to keep it low most of the time. Guess that wasn't too smart for one. lol. Thanks a lot for the info, I'll keep practicing rolling shots when I can.

is only for when you down here anyway so it looks damn good to me... hope you put something behind the plate so it doesn't scratch ur bumper in the rear... put some double stick tape behind there... keep it from moving heheheh

also why not consider a license plate relocator ie.. the ebay kind
mount the plate on the passenger side - http://cgi.ebay.com/License-Plate-Re...QQcmdZViewItem

yeah I put bubble wrap behind the plate so it doesn't scratch my bumper.

would I have to drill holes for that metal bracket? (the license relocator)

Nice pics, but D300 have much much more potential to take "Bad ASS" pics.

I'm not photo expert or nothing but if you want to achieve great rolling shots, here are few tips.

You need two cars (doh!) , roll side by side and set both cars on cruise control @ same speed but which ever positions you guys decided for the pictures, and have your photographer sits in the back seat that way he can easily move left or right.
