New Headlights!

I got the car in december and have been itching to do some modifications. I was able to find some used Type s headlights here on Acurazine and with the help of a lot of members and there threads on the headlight swap I was able to make the swap. The headlights were in pretty bad shape when I got them so I sent the healights to AckTL05 who did an awesome job installing the halos and replacing the clear diffusers. I also had to use a lot of epoxy and a sealer to make sure there wasn't any possible way there would be condesation in the headlights. Comments welcome!

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I installed two switches under the stearing wheel so I can turn on the inside halos or outside halos or both at the same time.

The blue led switches give me blue puddle lights when the halos are on.

The Halos look sick in person and give me a much more aggressive look!
Up next are switchbacks, Nokya Hyper yellows, Type S bumper conversion.

NICE!~~ Acktl05 is the man when it comes to our 3G TL's. I am going to have him do my headlights when I get the time.

Quick question, are your inner lights still fogs or DRL's now that you have 07-08 headlights?

Probably close to 15 because the headlights needed a LOT of work and once I got the headlights on there was some slight condensation once I washed the car so I had to take the lights back off and put some sealer on any and all cracks.

Yes he is! He was quick and very efficient with his service and I am very pleased with his work. I decided to leave the inner lights as fogs because I have six different ways I can run the lights so I wasn't that worried about it. I will eventually change them to DRL's once I Get everything else on my list done.

Yes I have the Type S bumper and spoiler in my garage just waiting to be put on. Once I get that done my next project will be full aspec kit and wheels.

EBAY or UMNITZ.com as well as other websites.

They look good BTW. Led ones look much nicer than the thin line ones.

so you bought 07-08 headlights for your 04-06? nice, how much did it cost? I was thinking about doing this, but then I saw a price tag of 350 per lamp and was HELLZ NO. dual halos rock! should've done them in red though, looks menacing.

I really do love these new lights. It gives me so many options through out the day and night. Thanks to all the comments recieved! I got the halos from a member on acurazine but have seen them on ebay.

Here are a few pics that have been requested.
It is raining otside right now but I will get more when it stops.

Inside halo:

I just put on my type s bumper! I don't know if anyone has done this on yet but I also painted the bumper behind the trim white. Let me know what you think.

I bought the headlights broken from a member here on acurazine. I took some time and alot of epoxy to get them back together. I also had Acktl05 install the halos and diffusers. To do the conversion you need different turn signal bulbs due to size difference, and you need different ballasts, cause the type s ballast is smaller than 04-06 TL ballasts, but you can find them used on here or on craigslist. All in all it cost me about 600 to do this which is not bad considering how expenxive the parts are normally.

The guy I bought them from got them from Umnitza. I believe the specific name of the halo is called Orion V2 Angel Eye for TL.

There isn't any block of light output. Atleast I don't notice any difference.
