Guys, please see UDATED PICTURES on Post #77 (shot on Halloween Day) in this thread. These photo's are with the amber turn bulbs taken out and the switchback bulbs inserted. This is exactly what I was going for and the way I wanted the headlights to look....cleared (no amber), carbon fiber inserts with the LED's and switchback turn signal bulbs.
By the way, is there anyone who lives in Westchester County, NY who can clear headlights that would be willing to help Neil (SensualScorpion)?

^^^ That's just 1/4 inch red pinstripping. It's easy to install, I've put it on the front grill and rear vent.

steven, where did you apply the red pinstripe on the grill. i tested it on the very outside of the chrome , and also ion the very inside of the chrome right up to the mesh in the very back
yours almost looks like it in the middle, can you take some closeups or explain how you did yours?

It looks like he has either CF wrapped or painted the brushed chrome trim pieces. The pinstripe appears to be just to the inside of that small trim piece.
Pinstriping is pretty easy to DIY. Just take your time and try to keep the lines straight. I did some on my Trans Am back in the day.

The key to laying down pinstripping is getting it straight. Then gently pulling it as you go around the curved areas.

There have been a few guys that have PM'ed me asking where I got the LED's. Here is the link:
http://www.oznium.com/side-emitting-led-strip
They are from Oznium.com. They are under the "Flexible LED Strips" category. These are the side emitting LED's. I bought two-2 foot strips, but didn't use the entire 2 feet. For a base TL, you could probably use the entire strip. But for a Type S, I kept my diffuser in the headlight assembly, so it cut down on space to place the LED's.
I hope this helps!

^^^I agree-thanks! I wanted no amber in the headlights and the switchback bulbs provide the best of both.

Check out this thread from bforbrian....

It's difficult to tell if they go all the way around, but still an awesome look.

different leds though, right steven? they look nice but i wanted to see the side emitting leds like your going all the way around... do you think not having the side diffusers will make a big visual difference?

Thanks Tinad. I'm incredibly happy with them. I think I'm the first to use the Side Emitting LEDs.m
Another Acuraziner asked me for my diffusers (if I didn't use them). But I liked the look, and left them in. The only thing I would have done differently is cut out the brackets that held in the 2 amber pieces in the diffuser. That's my only regret.

Yea, it's getting popular for sure. You might have seen other cars with these because they're supposed to be weatherproof, so they're easy to add on. Plus, I've seen JNC is installing these too (here on Acurazine). It's catching on!

Guys, we ran the wiring for the LED's into a green wire for the windshield wipers. It's a constant "live" wire. So the LED's are on all the time-with the DRL's and the headlights too...that's the way I wanted them to operate.

Guys, be sure to read this thread if you are considering LED switchbacks.

Hey Steven,
I was wondering if the color of the Switchback LEDs you used for your turn signals appear drastically (or awkardly) different from the stock HID bulbs from factory. The signals look as if they put out 5000K, and they look good in the photos, but I was wondering if you think they look obviously different in color on the car. Thanks!

Hey Swoosh! Yes, Buda and I took all day and knocked it out. It was a big job, but VERY worth it. They really look awesome....very classy!
We'll get all the KC TL guys together here very soon. Plus, Jay Wolfe Acura has already OK'd another May 2010 Acura meet.

I think he is referring to the clear diffusers.....
I want to say all 07+ TL's and TL-S's come with clear side diffusers ?
