NBP-UA6's Progress Thread ~ Fall Photos Update
Hey guys, been lurking around for a bit and now decided to make a progress thread because I think my car have enough "mods" to have a thread now. Better late then never so here goes...
Bought the car used back in 2010 when someone's lease was up it was an 2007 Nighthawk Black Pearl 5AT with about 32,xxx miles on it. Everyone know what a stock TL look like so I wont even bother to post a pic of it. One thing I like to add is that these photos are shot by my phone so excuse the quality. Anyways, let's move on to the mods:
1st mod: Tinted windows and blacked out headlights by AckTL05
Halos were also installed by AckTL05. I also did the HID conversion to the fogs. THey are 6000K.
Here's a night shot with the headlight and fogs on
Here's another shot of the halos
2nd mod: Type S rear sidemarkers that took me like 15 mins to install because I was having trouble to put them on.
Up next: My car wasn't born with A-specs so I decided to add them on. They are bought from AckTL05 also. Was having a really hard time deciding between the base front lips or the Type S, but the gold fish buggy eyes got me sold.
With the base exhaust
I also did the license plate relocate and added the blue ACURA insert:
With the halos on (On the side note, my halos are no longer working properly I too, have the same flickering problem along with other few members )
Representing Acurazine with the decal:
Right now I'm saving up for Richie's dual exhaust. Hopefully I can get it soon because I really want it but meanwhile have to fill up those gaps on the rear lip kit so I ordered some universal quad tips online and have them welded on... doesn't look too bad if you ask me.
Here she is on the lift and got the base tips cut off. It felt so painful watching her get molested from the back
The tips getting welded on:
Here's the finished product:
And side shot: *Note - doesn't look as nice as the OEM Type S but this is way better than the gap.
Here is also a list of my upcoming mods I'm saving up for...
- Richie's RV6 dual exhaust (V2)
- Possible RV6's J-pipe and HFPC
- Some coilovers
- Some after market rims
I guess that's it for now. Love/hate comments are welcomed. I will continue to add more pics in the future. Thanks for looking!

Here are some random shots:
When she reached 44,444:
Tried the V-LEDS blue interior light:
Looked nice at first but the more I looked at it the more it look rice (maybe too much blue? idk) so I changed them to white.
With a few co-workers:
Halos light up at night:
From the angle of the picture, it look like my car have no wheels and/or is on a lift
Here are my other friends with their TL, but they are completely bone stock. I didn't realized how much work it put to mine until I parked next to the stock ones
LOVE NBP when they are freshly washed and waxed

Looks nice! Post some shots of the entire car so we can get a better look. What are your suspension plans?

Dude, those wheels look sick on your car. Can't wait to see what it looks like after you lower it.
