Well I was going to choose red but there is no way the polycarbonate tint I used is coming off the inside of the red reflector Its too dark I think the smoked reflector but look better if I can get the tint off the red one.

the problem is the paint is on the back of the reflector in the tiny reflector ridges so even letting it soak in all three chemicals listed above for 2 hours and scrubbing with a nylon brush didn't even put a dent in it. The paint is tough sh*t Taymia polycarbonate paint impervious to all most chemicals. I'll soak it over night and see what happens.

-Acetone with plastic is a big NO NO it will cloud it up acetone eats/melts plastic

 

What about goo gone?

The projects usually are never ending for me I have a feeling we are both very similar in that respect. When one ends another begins but usually there are many going on at the same time lol.

I love Plexus ! Best plastic polish out there for sure. I dont ride though just been using it for a few years on my cars

 

The only day I'll be able to do it is on Saturday before 3. I have to work Saturday night 4-10 and I'm pulling a double on Sunday, 10-10

 

Well Got them on they look pretty good! However I cant help to think they would probably look better if that red reflector was in the bottom instead of the smoked one Maybe sometime I can source another set and swap them out.

 

Looking good Roger! I think the red reflector would look better as well. Since it's black, the red housing looks out of place.

keep your eye out on ebay for a cracked set of lights, i was able to buy an 05 tail for $25. the lens was cracked and scratched, but it was the internals i wanted.
