My White Diamond Pearl TL Type S (The Timeline & Progress Thread)
Hello family and friends of Acurazine,
I thought I would make a Timeline and Progress Thread for my 5AT 2007 WDP Acura TL Type S with Ebony/Silver Interior.
In case you don't know my name is Aaron and I'm a junior at Christopher Newport University.
First and foremost I would like to thank my Dad, Mom, and brother Corey (badazzTL on Acurazine) with this journey.
At the time in 2006 I was initially looking at an Audi A4 and a VW GLI. However, since my mom owned a Acura 2G RL and my brother owned a 2G TL, I glanced on Acurazine and was inspired by the 3G TL. I fell in love with the body style, the performance, and of course WDP! Then I heard rumors that there would be a Type S version later in the year 2007, so I waited.
My inspiration of what I wanted to model for.
Loki's 2004 TL
Eric's then 2004 TL
2006
It all started in October of 2006, when I picked a brochure of the 2007 TL and there it was. A Type S model would be coming in 2007. The wait was worth it.
On December 11, 2006 with 3 miles on the odometer I picked up the 2007 WDP TL Type S & Ebony/Silver interior with 5AT from Hall Acura in Newport News. Thus, began Project: WDP UA7
After 5 days I went on my first photoshoot with my brother and his 2G Satin Silver TL.
After 2 weeks and its first wash!
A Year Later & The Modding Begins!
October 2007: Factory A-spce Lip Kit was installed (Front, Sides, and Rear)
January 2008: Blacked Out Headlights
And my 1st HDR attempt!
October 2008: Performance Upgrades
Added:
AEM Intake
P2R Spacers
R-V6 J-pipe
R-V6 Test Pipe
Random Photos in 2009:
Plates Changed!
Thanks to Faiz Rahman (ballinfizzle89) and his camera skills.
August 2009: Added H&R Coilovers and Progress RSB
Installed!
August 2009 Cont: Black Roof
Added the Black Roof (One Piece Vinyl)
September 2009: Type S!
Decided to add some Type S flavor to the grill on the TL-S using the badge from the steering wheel.
December 2009: Lights!
Decided to add some LED's and Noyka H8 Yellow Fogs!
Randoms.
January 2010: Rigs, Flashers, Strobes, Cold Weather
And once again Faiz Rahman does amazing work! Shot my car during a 15°F weather.
Thanks again Faiz!
Rented a wide angle lens for a trip to London, England for the summer in 2010. Took some shots that have never been released!
August 2010: Wheels
The time to get some wheels. I went with some 18x9 +22 Advan RS's in Dark Gunmetal Metallic and Project Kics R26 lugs. There was a 3 month wait from Japan. It was long and grueling but it was all worth it!
Then I finally mounted the wheels!

so thats your TL thats on my wallpapers! Beautiful job on your car. You are pretty much doing everything i always wanted to do on my car except i dont have funds for it like you do lol.
what do you plan on doing next? tints?
i was thinking something similar to your mini type-s emblem on your grill except ill probably debadge the whole rear and relocate the larger type-s emblem onto the mesh part instead of the cross bar. im also currently in search of some rims and i hope ill be able to post my car up when i feel it is ready soon. hopefully in the next couple of months when the weather gets better i can install all these parts laying around.

Oh and I forgot I added 35% Tints in 2009. I can't believe I forgot that mod!! It is a must do I think to-do any car!

AWESOME thread, Aaron. Your car has really come a long way. I remember that first photoshoot we did together in Williamsburg. Those were fun times . Keep up the good work, little bro. You have made me proud!
