Sorry for the thread revival.

OP, how did you mount your Sarona with that even gap?? My gap is much smaller in the center... I might just mount it right up against the roof.

Isn't that window adhesive really messy?

i just eyed it taped off the edges and window that i didnt want the adhesive to smear on. then simply placed and attached it. it doesn't set that fast, so you can move it around a tiny bit before it sets. i think it takes like an hour just make sure the temp is not too cold outside when you use this stuff. i dont know why your gap is smaller in the middle. mine is perfectly even on all sides.

get yourself a flat stick or thin putty knife to spread on the adhesive evenly on the underside of the spoiler. and definitely get some 3M adhesive remover spray. just have that and a used micro fiber towel handy for any quick clean ups you might have.

here are some pics when i installed it 3M window weld is very strong and it wont lift up the spoiler like the tape does.

^ Man I wish I had your workmanship!

Well not really sure why my spoiler is a little different in the center... since each one is made to order, maybe they aren't all identical. Either way, when I push it against the roof (vs your placement), it looks fine. I might heat the fiberglass up a bit and bend it slightly -- hopefully this will cause less of an upward force on the ends.

Yes I must agree also, I don't Like TLs in white but this one makes it work damn well.

That trunk lip and that exhaust is beautiful!

And that elbow grease really paid off on your spoiler too, very sleek

Is that an XLR8 exhaust, cause it doesn't look like the ATLP quad.

Where are my manners, your car looks awesome!

My TL is still sitting on stock everything. Im waiting for the summer to get most of my modifications done I just have no idea where to start

jptl, hope you don't mind me posting a picture in here... since you essentially guided me thru it!

I kinda like the small step... in reality, I got lazy

One of the edges was a little loose yesterday. I think its due to the warmer weather we're getting. I taped it back down with some painters tape for the next couple days because we're gonna be in the 70s! If that doesn't work, 3M WW it is!

dont mind at all dude that looks awesome! you did a good job! glad you went with the Sarona wing instead of the ATLP. the ATLP looks ok but this roof spoiler is just pure sex, when done right! it flows soo much better from all angles, top, the sides with that little curve, the back. you my friend did it right with the window weld i can guarantee it wont move an inch.

I had a question about the window weld stuff... is there a similar product for painted metal... say to add a Type-S decklid without drilling holes? BTW... you just swayed me towards Sarona thanks!

you could try this i read lots of good things about it http://www.bavauto.com/fland.asp?par...source=8901003 bimmer guys have been using it to attach their trunk spoilers with it for years.

the 3M window weld could also be used for it. this stuff is strong i tell you. i have it on my sarona roof spoiler, i can literally grab the spoiler and tug and yank on it, and it doesnt budge! in fact it moves and sways the whole car if i do that

Hey Jpt. Is there any way to remove the spoiler if you use window weld? Or is it stuck on there permanently?

Nice... I might just do that... I mean I don't mind drilling holes for the deck lid, but not if the body shop guy is going to charge me 200 for labor! Comeon! Oh in the even that I wanna remove it, is there a solution that should be used first? I mean say if you wanted to remove your wing one of these days.

Edit... he posted before me.. i didn't see it.. hahaha

Hate the rims though. At a distance they are hot, in close they're not all that. That's my opinion.

Great pics, great car.

So I was outside washing the car yesterday and noticed that the corner of the Sarona was sticking up a little. I went to pull on it to make sure the window weld was still holding and half the damn spoiler pulled up.. Not sure if I didn't put enough on there or what.. Did u use any kind of adhesion promoter?

This kit is available just how he has it because I own the same one on my CBP 2008 type S I got it at the dealer and you could also get it at the Acura E store online it comes painted and ready to mount here are the part numbers you need if interested:

Front Under Body Spoiler Part #08F01-SEP-2B0B $231.00
Side Under Body Spoiler Part #08F04-SEP-2B0 $250.00.
Rear Under Body Spoiler Part #08F023-SEP-2B0B $231.00

I was confused at first when I got it because I was expecting the kit jptlo4 had on before he got this one but was very happy when it was mounted I love this kit and his ride looks sick. Sir....

yah that lip kit is available as is. its the 07-08 BASE lip kit. but the OP had a shop custom fit the 07-08 BASE front lip on his car becuz he has the TYPE S. the 07-08 BASE doesnt bolt right up to the TYPE S bumber. and Melvin2816, you have an 05 right? well they make a lipkit for your year. but its not the same front lip as the OP's front lip. IMO the 07-08 front lip is the most cleanest lip EVAR!
