My Type-S full A-spec kit with roof wing

get yourself a flat stick or thin putty knife to spread on the adhesive evenly on the underside of the spoiler. and definitely get some 3M adhesive remover spray. just have that and a used micro fiber towel handy for any quick clean ups you might have.
here are some pics when i installed it 3M window weld is very strong and it wont lift up the spoiler like the tape does.

^ Man I wish I had your workmanship!
Well not really sure why my spoiler is a little different in the center... since each one is made to order, maybe they aren't all identical. Either way, when I push it against the roof (vs your placement), it looks fine. I might heat the fiberglass up a bit and bend it slightly -- hopefully this will cause less of an upward force on the ends.

jptl, hope you don't mind me posting a picture in here... since you essentially guided me thru it!
I kinda like the small step... in reality, I got lazy
One of the edges was a little loose yesterday. I think its due to the warmer weather we're getting. I taped it back down with some painters tape for the next couple days because we're gonna be in the 70s! If that doesn't work, 3M WW it is!

I had a question about the window weld stuff... is there a similar product for painted metal... say to add a Type-S decklid without drilling holes? BTW... you just swayed me towards Sarona thanks!
#109
the 3M window weld could also be used for it. this stuff is strong i tell you. i have it on my sarona roof spoiler, i can literally grab the spoiler and tug and yank on it, and it doesnt budge! in fact it moves and sways the whole car if i do that

Nice... I might just do that... I mean I don't mind drilling holes for the deck lid, but not if the body shop guy is going to charge me 200 for labor! Comeon! Oh in the even that I wanna remove it, is there a solution that should be used first? I mean say if you wanted to remove your wing one of these days.
Edit... he posted before me.. i didn't see it.. hahaha

So I was outside washing the car yesterday and noticed that the corner of the Sarona was sticking up a little. I went to pull on it to make sure the window weld was still holding and half the damn spoiler pulled up.. Not sure if I didn't put enough on there or what.. Did u use any kind of adhesion promoter?

yah that lip kit is available as is. its the 07-08 BASE lip kit. but the OP had a shop custom fit the 07-08 BASE front lip on his car becuz he has the TYPE S. the 07-08 BASE doesnt bolt right up to the TYPE S bumber. and Melvin2816, you have an 05 right? well they make a lipkit for your year. but its not the same front lip as the OP's front lip. IMO the 07-08 front lip is the most cleanest lip EVAR!
