Omg +1.

I'm grateful for IN's simple white on blue plates. I'd be getting a custom plate if they were bright yellow. But the car looks great OP! NBP is such a nice color when it's clean.

ChristianRE, maybe you can answer this since you're an acura tech.

when people bring in their modded cars for a warranty fix, do techs/service reps blame the fix on something that we (the owners) did to our cars?

for example, if i got a sound system installed, and then 2 months later my battery is dead and i want it replaced under warranty, do acura tech's connect the 2 things and say "sorry, you modded this and that and that's why this happened."

do they sometimes blame warranty work on us owners who modify our cars, even tho the 2 things might not have anything at all to do with one another?

i've always been curious about that, if you can shed some light that'd be great.

how long have you been there for? Just a quick question, do you ever remember working on or driving a Brand new Silver 2006 Acura MDX that just had a new tire put on because of the old one blowing out?

It all depends on the modifications you have on your vehicle. For your example, I would replace the battery even though you have a sound system. it also depends on the technician that's working on your. I own one of these cars and I wouldn't like for my warranty denied cuz I modified it. I'm one of you guys. Example- One time I was working on a TL-S and it was modified. The car had a bent lower control arm in the rear and I was going to replace it under the warranty but the service writer saw it and wanted to charge the customer cuz the car was lowered and blamed it on that. So sometimes is not up to me.

Also If the add-on was the direct reason the oem part failed, then they can void nit. So yes if your cars added stereo amps were pulling too much power for the battery or altinater to handle and those failed, you bet they have every right to say no. Now lets say you had an AEM intake on the car and you axle blew, they cant use the fact that you have an intake and the added tq blew the axle. They'll try to but no axle is gonna blow because its getting 10 more ft/lbs +/- of torque to the wheels.
