salu8819....thanks for the concern, Junior but I've been riding for almost 20 years so I think I'll be OK. I appreciate the sentiment, though.
As far as GSXRs being garbage...well, I've always been a Kawi guy, I've had many of them. Having said that, this GSXR is an incredible machine. And for me, a 750 is the perfect balance between the handling of a 600 and the power of a liter bike. But garbage? lol...I guess that's why the GSXR has pretty much dominated all levels of the AMA Superbike classes for the last 20+ years.lol

Nice gixxer I had a 600 a few years back. I am bikeless at the moment, but I might get one again soon. The itch to ride is strong haha
Really kid? Wow are you just straight up ignorant? Or do you always talk about shit you know nothing about?
Ramrod obviously knows more than you will probably ever know about bikes. I think he made a good decision.

AWESOME, be safe and go fast! I was going to get a bike to go with my 92 hatch and 04 TL but the wife and I agreed on getting a supercharger for the hatchback for now. Congrats and have fun.

Yeah, the "garbage" comment came off as a little harsh.....but I'm over it, no harm, no foul...relax guys!
Anthracite...I hear ya about the riding itch. I thought that I was done with bikes a few years ago, but last year I took my buddy's, then new, ZX6R for a spin...then I was hooked again! This one will be a keeper for awhile....just gotta replace that heavy, ugly OEM can with a nice exhaust....
Thanks guys for the kudos...I've already got a few mods planned: tinted screen, exhaust hanger (deleting the rear pegs) and a few other bits.

Need to fix my Bike
Nice gixxer man. I ride a K6 750, went to that from a k3 1k. Love the 750 much more. Anyone can make a big bike go fast but it takes skill to make a small bike go fast. I just wish my bike matched my TL. I have the blue/white gix and WDP TL-s. Ride safe

Look you are the one who called the GSXR garbage. Obviously being a GSXR owner I was offended. I am just trying to educate you on how not to piss off more people in the future by making your so-called jokes, more clear that they are jokes. I am not trying to start a fight, and you take care also.

^^ thanx. Back to bikes....... Not a big fan of the Busa or Zx14 bc they are too big, a friend of mine killed a busa on his zx10r bc he could handle better and he was a better rider.
Heard they are going to stop the production of the 750 gsxr bc the prices are so close to eachother that its pointless to get the 750.

Busa is a straight line beast. I rode my friends a couple times and its like the hand of god comes down from the sky and pushes you from behind. Also they feel really stable at high speeds on the highway. The downside is handling, definately would rather be on somthing lighter in the canyons.

Actually, the 750 is a close 2nd in sales to the new GSXR 1000 which is Suzuki's current best selling Supersport. Also, the 750 gets bi-annual revisions/improvements just like the 600 & 1000s, so if Suzuki was thinking of killing that segment, they wouldn't spend money on updating it. The truth is that the GSXR 750 still gets big sales because of what I said in my first post...the near perfect blend of 600 class handling and close to liter bike power. Bone stock the GSXR 750 can pull off a 10.2 second 1/4 mile @ 135 MPH...add a pipe, ECU map and you will pull off sub 10 second 1/4s....that's Bugatti Veyron territory for less 1/100th the price!
Anyways, what baffles me is why other big three don't produce bikes in the same class to compete against the GSXR 750 which has had the class all to itself for the last 6 years or so. Imagine an updated ZX7...or R7? If Honda punched out their CBR600RR t0 a 750RR? I think that there would be a revival of the 750 class which used to dominate Supersport and where the manufacturers used to show off thier latest and greatest hardware.

750 is the perfect All around bike for track and street but what u guys think about the ducati 878, that thing is a monster too but the price is like a 1000cc. Haven't caught up to my reading lately but is the new cbr 1000rr still the highlight?
