Hi,
I'm new to posting on this site. Have read many threads but none answer my specific questions so here goes...

1) I have an '04 w/ nav, when saying commands clear (with windows closed and air off) its a 50-50 on the command being correct even talking clear close to mike...any remedies?

2) I also have a guy who can modify the nav (some hack I assume) and it will make it DVD accessible (while driving) will this mess up my set or has it been done?

Newbie questions looking for clear answers.

Welcome. This is the photograph galley. I think you should've posted this under Problems & Fixes. But as far as your questions I don't have navi so hopefully someone else will chime in that can answer your questions.

 

i find that if i talk in a normal pace, the nav picks up on my commands.

you have to buy hardware in order to get your nav to play DVDs.
-converter. most popular is the DOMs Nav2go unit.
-audio input switcher. most popular is the iSimple or P.I.E X3.
-DVD player or carpc or hard drive media player.
