I like that...a lot.

Too bad I can't do that with the 07-08 base tails. IIRC, the white part in the middle of them is the diffuser.

I'm going to run outside and do a quick comparison!
I think I'm sold on removing the frost diffuser!!

cjTL, I believe the base tails also has a white lens [in front of the frost diffuser].
You should be able to have that dotted LED look too.

Damn those blue LED's and the reverse LED's look awesome.... Oh yea the taillights look good too lol

I'm not sure if this picture will help but this is my 07-08 tails totally disassembled from when I blacked mine out...



Don't quote me on this but I'm pretty damn sure you can put the assembly back together without the white diffuser which is pictured at the very bottom.

OP the tails look good. Congrats!

You can put the assembly back together without the white but you would clearly see the frost piece which isn't a pretty sight. The frost is the bottom piece in that picture.
