My HR-R front lip finally came in...
Well, after months of waiting for my new lip for my TL-S, it finally came in today! Fitment is perfect and it gives me the look i was going for! Big props to HD-R for their excellent customer service and price! You guys da bomb!
Ok, seriously, excuse the fact that i had to upload the pics, i dont have access to any shares right now. Check out my $13 home depot racing front lip. Since i'm lowering the TL in the next few weeks i wanted something to protect the lip from scratches and scuffs so i decided to give this mod a try...whaddaya know, i actually really like it!
I know there will be some haters, but guess what, if this lip were plastic rather than rubber and cost $400 i would buy it & so would you!
excuse the blackberry tour quality photos. I know they are huge...appologize for that too!

front lips looks good. as for the home depot "racing lip" it looks nice as well, and appears to be sturdy and of quality. key word being a "appears". just be ready to say goodbye to it. after one mistake or miscalculation going up or exiting a driveway. heck just buy another one. it's only $13 buy a few you'll need them.
not hating at all. it looks awesome, i just wish there was another alternative that wasn't cheap rubber. maybe something out of polyurethane with actual mounting tabs.

honestly...how hard would it be to have a mold made of it? If this were a nice piece of strong, flexible plastic (no fiberglass!) i bet someone could sell these for a few hundred bucks all day long.
I'll be honest, it's held on now with a super long piece of 3M VHB tape, it feels secure, but makes me wonder how long it will actually last. I don't have the heart to throw some self tapping screws in even though i know you'll never notice. But yeah, it was $13 for 16 ft of this stuff, i can make 2 lips out of it...once it gets beat, i'll peel it off and slap on a new one!

I like it, I think it looks really good- i would be interested in seeing a photo of it up close again in 6 months or even a year, i just doubt the durability of the material after its seen 10-15K miles with bug guts, and road debri. but then I suppose you just take it off and head to HD again and drop 13 bucks for a new one

I'm likin' the look Rocket. I wonder how that would look on a non-Aspec Type S?
