My Day at the NY Auto Show. (56K NOT Welcome)
Just came home from the NY Auto Show and thought I would share some pictures. As already stated in other threads, the ’09 TL was nowhere to be found. Hope you enjoy…
Now for the Acuras...
Walking to the train I saw this beauty…
And, of course, my favorite car of the show…
Sadly, the Acura booth was one of the least crowded at the show. I think they really screwed up by not having the ’09 TL there. I spoke with three of the Acura people there and this is what they had to say when I questioned about the 4G…
First: It will be released next year. AWD will be an option after 6 months. She also thought it would be there. Obviously she was pretty clueless.
Second: Didn’t know anything about it. Suggested I check acuranews.com.
Third: She was clearly the most knowledgeable. She said it should be released in October. AWD is the biggest rumor but she can’t confirm it. She said it will be bigger then the current generation and will have the new grill. It will have all of the new technology such as USB port, Nav Traffic, etc. When I asked about HP she said it won’t be over 300 because that would make it more powerful then the RL. She said that the current generation Type S was very successful so there is a strong possibility we will see one.

OMG I dont think i will never get another Acura. Are you F** kidding me all the future models are ugly as hell. Anybody got pics for the 09 TL. They better not mess up this car. The TSX, and RL are going down hell. The MDX is heading that way to and lets not forget the RDX

i walked up to her, and said..."wheres the TL"... she points to the 3G TL... and i'm like, no no no honey, i already have one of those.. wheres the new TL... and she replied
"Thats the magic of the month of October"... my jaw dropped, and i was heart broken.. i've been waiting months to see the 4G TL....

i actually think that the TSX is nice, hopefully the new grille will be better implemented in the new TL?
Just think of it as Acura's way of not making the people that got the 2008 TL's regret not waiting for the 4th gen = )
And also, it just makes us appreciate the styling of our cars SO much MORE...

I dunno the hyundai genesis is going to come out strong... affordable too for the power it is putting out... and hyundai motors never die also... oh and the reason why I also agree that too bad it's still a hyundai (horrible resale value 
)

considering the fact that Hyundai hasn't been around in the US for long, i think it's doing very well. Also, 10 year warranty, cars priced under $50,000 is a very affordable yet great car.
I think they're about to change their image with the new Genesis. It's very popular in Korea and it's running over $50,000 over there!!
I heard the coupe will be a V6 with rear wheel drive, boosted.. priced at 28K
the Sedan however will be the same or slightly cheaper than the TLs

Lol I can almost bet its gonna look nothing like that if it even makes it the production line...
My next car is going to be an Audi S5...I already have it planned out...unless something more beautiful comes out in 5 years.

all prototypes get re-vamped before release... ive been going to the NY auto show for like the past 10 years, and i always take photos... when the RDX and new Accord came out, i went back to look at my photos from years before and alot does change. it stays similar to the concept design, but becomes more conserative
i would agree with lee-dog, companies like suzuki and kia and shit dont have the $$ to throw around on "feeler" type of concepts
btw, all the really cool new cars where like hyundai, kia, suzuki etc..etc... there was a 4 cylinder 290hp turbo kia coupe.. looked pretty hot.. ill find the photos later
