My Adventures with CF vinyl wrap
3M Di-Noc from AckTL05 & daveramkumar (thanks, Bruce and Dave!). Aaron (Sharksbreath) came up to help me out---actually, he did most of it. Thanks again, buddy!

Looks great!
Only thing I have to say is the lower grill on the passenger side needs more trimming lol
Look how jammed it is lol

Thanks guys & gals. I never liked the insert color on the AM lips---it just doesn't stand out against the body like it does on a WDP or even NBP.
Yeah, the grille is a bit effed up after I re-aligned the fogs. I didn't have time to trim it. No worries---I have big plans for my fogs in the future.
The spoiler is the CSL lip from KB1Spec---I have the fiberglass model, although they come in CF, too.
Future plan is to CF the black portion of the front grille, too. I have to set aside a solid day or two for all of the front end work I'm planning.

nice! i've seen people paint those parts, but never though about vinyling it. didn't turn out bad at all.
i have a question though regarding this picture
what is that orange circular thing above your license plate by the screw holes? is that a rear view camera? if so, it's a little off center.
also in this picture your rear a-spec bumper is like mines. it's sagging a little bit lol. mine was because of poor installation from the beginning, but yours might have just eventually over time started to droop down.
might not really be a big problem to you, but just wanted to point it out. people see my car and don't realize that its slanted, but when i look at it that's the only thing i realize and it bothers me. i need to go buy a $40 roll of some heavy duty 3m tape and line everything up correctly!

Tough crowd! Actually, the whole mesh is what's crooked. Again, its on my list for the front end.
Yes, it's the Boyo 350 camera. It is so big, there really was no other place to mount it and still have it tuck under the trim piece as much as possible. I've seen another guy who cut a whole in the trim piece and mounted it below the backup light. Hmmmmm.
The lip does not seem to be sagging to me---looks pretty even.
We did this two weekends ago. It just took me that long to get the pics posted!
Ha! I was one of the first on your ebay GB, dude! Damned thing came off in a car wash a few months ago and I haven't put it back on. It will be going on soon, though. Dunno about wrapping it...and the CSL spoiler cost me way too much $$$ to wrap in CF now!
I couldn't have done it without him.
Thanks again, everyone!

hey that's good. if it looks fine to you than there's no need to fix it unless it bothers you.
honestly, your rear a-spec is very very ever so slightly sagging. it's nothing anything horrid or bad. it's just that when you are a bit OCD like me, every little flaw bothers and irritates me til i fix it. i really need to fix mines because mines is sagging worse than yours... i really need to fix it lol just been too lazy.
not trying to be a dick! but here's a picture for reference. i outlined the area you should pay close attention to
the area you see outlined in white is the part that i see is 'sagging' just a little bit. it's part of your rear bumper. when installing the a-spec lip you are supposed to install it OVER that bumper line. well for me.... my passenger side is installed perfectly over the line but my driver side is installed UNDER the line. so when you look at my rear bumper the right side looks perfect but as you scan towards the drivers side you start to notice the bumper slanting downwards a little bit...
it kind of makes my exhaust in the rear look uneven
heres some other perfectly installed a-spec kits.... i envy them

Wow! I'm surprised at the responses I'm getting for this. I just didn't expect it to be as big of a hit as it seems to be. Thank you to everyone who likes it and has commented. I appreciate the love!
U need a hairdryer that puts out a lot of heat (or a heat gun), scissors, razor blades and a plastic squeegee. Possibly a pin to pop the air bubbles you can't work out. Take your time and start in the middle and work your way out to the ends.
The HID fogs spray light all over the place, but thats just the way they are. ALWAYS use a relay harness with HIDs!!
I'm sure it looks great on the black car---not so sure how it would look on AM, tho.
U da man, baby! Thanks again!
I used a .5'x6' for the front lip, 1'x7' for the rear, and 3'x.5' for the grille trim. There was some piecing we needed to do in the exhaust cutout area---it was just too many contours to make it look good without stretching the vinyl too much.
I will try to get some more pics for you. No promises on how long it will take, tho.
I bought mine used in the BM, but you can PM KB1Spec for more info.
Thanks, Jaime. Not sure yet. I've been watching all of you guys with the wrap on the interior parts. I may take a stab at that sometime soon.
I can't wait to see what you have in store for us!
