My 75% done NBP

Just washed my car today so I took some pictures. Its almost done... just needs the following:
- cleared/blacked out headlights
- roof spoiler
- door visors
- 07-08 side mirrors
- j pipe/test pipe

Here are the pictures. Sorry about the quality...

Hope you like it

Nice whip.

75% done is a very relative estimate...don't get too caught up...there is NO end to modifications.

^ It's my definition of what I want my 100% TL to be.

And yes, I know modding is NEVER ENDING.

Thanks. I'm actually lowered on Eibach's. I can't wait to complete my list! Hopefully by the end of the summer.

Thanks everyone. Almost makes all the money I don't have worth it

@ joeybabyluvsu, forgot how much I paid for the Eibachs but I can't imagine they'd run more than $200 new. I've a ton in the Black Market for $100+. I paid $150 for the springs and my RSB install. Not too bad Then you gotta get an alignment afterwards (~$70). The Eibachs only give a 1" drop so no, no issues whatsoever.

@ tihomirbg
Yeah finally had some time to get it painted. Looks good! Also repainted my front bumper... got rid of all those rock chips and a dent. I think I'm gonna repaint my hood and fenders, then clear bra. The shop I went to has some pretty good prices. I'm gonna post his contact info in the main 3G forum soon. You should get that expensive RJ kit protected!

Got it painted at a shop... the color match is perfect. In the sun, the new NBP paint sparkles just like the original paint.

Its 99% done now! I just need new amber signal bulbs. The 7443 chrome amber ones I got are too dim... thinking about switchbacks.

Anyway, gave up on the 07-08 side mirrors so since last time, I've installed the J-Shift test pipe and J pipe, OEM door visors and cleared/blacked out headlights with ZKW replica lenses and Phillips 85122+ D2S bulbs.

Here are some pictures!

I think it looks good

It would look horrid at close up shot Move the car back 25+ feet to get proper idea of what they look like.

Here are some long distance shots of the replica lens , pictures are borrowed from a fellow member at HIDplanet.com

Note that in the above pictures the member has removed foreground light limiter from his TL projectors while doing the retrofit.

His bulbs look a lot whiter than mine. OK I'll try to get some further-away shots tonight to compare.

1. J-Shift is local so no shipping costs/paypal fees etc
2. Ground clearance... thinking of dropping my car on Teins next summer so I don't want to scrape the j-pipe all the time.
3. Price. ATLP J-pipe is $399 and test pipe is $125. I think RV6 is doing a GB on another forum on both of his products... I know for a fact that they it was for less than $400 but I can't give you the exact number.
4. ATLP's test pipe is just a straight pipe for $125! J-Shift's is resonated and its about half that price.
5. If it matters, the J-Shift one is polished...

After the install and after my ECU settled, the car is definitely more torque-y. It pulls a bit harder in the low end and def minimizes the "acceleration" lag. I haven't really done any WOT runs yet. Overall, I'm happy with this. Don't have any actual experience with the ATLP products thought... all the above information is just from other AZ members or "research".

And to stay on topic, my new favorite picture:

^ Thanks.

Been noticing a MPG increase post-J-Shift install. Haven't changed my driving habits and I'm getting 2 more MPGs. Haven't gone thru an entire tank yet though... just my initial observation.
