Too much CF gets a little tacky, and I personally really like the interior contrast between the silver and the carbon. If I were to do anything at all to those interior silver pieces, it would be to paint them something glossy to contrast with the outside. That's just me though

As far as the exterior goes, I personally love the contrast from the silver grill and rear trim piece - I think silver and ABP go very very well together. In fact I think its one of the only colors that makes the stock silver 5 spoke wheels look great precisely because of the contrast. The only thing I really want to do with the grill is maybe wrap the contrasting grey pieces.

Now as far as the front lip trim and rear valence goes, I think it would look awesome in carbon, but I'm not sure how long a wrap would last on those pieces. I'm likely going to leave them for the foreseeable future as I don't mind the color too much.

The wire brush is an awesome suggestion - I hadn't even considered it, and I have TWO dremels at home lol. Will definitely give it a try this summer. Ill probably remove the calipers altogether though since I plan to do a full brake flush and change the rotors.
Thank you for the compliment!

It sounds like you might be better off just removing them. I was just lazy and didn't want to unhook anything

D'aww

Lots of fun stuff planned - Currently trying to figure out my rear toe dilemma and still waiting for the Endless catback. At this point I want to actually dyno it bone stock power wise and then dyno it with the Endless catback, RV6 V3 Jpipe, HFPC, Unorthodox pulley and AEM V2 all of which are going on at the same time. Fingers crossed for 35+ whp gain.

Got home safe and sound

Funnily enough, my drive home on Friday nights is probably my favorite part of the day. After a pretty brutal 7:00 am to 10:00 pm shift at work, its really refreshing to roll with the windows down and a near empty road/highway home.

Thanks man - to be honest my idea of what I want the car to be constantly fluctuates in my head, but there will (soon) be a point where it will either be a focus on cosmetics or a focus on performance, and given what I like about cars, its probably going to be the latter.

Right now my #1 priority is finish up the suspension. My philosophy with the build is simple:

Suspension first,
Brakes second,
Power last.

Now to be fair, the basic bolt-ons are going to happen before my brake overhaul, but that's because I believe that my daily enjoyment of the car will multiply ten-fold when I can actually HEAR the damn thing lol.

with the intake and HFPC and j pipe you may want to consider changing out the motor mounts too ?

Yup definitely considered this. Honestly what I might do at this point is bolt up the exhaust, jpipe and intake when the exhaust actually gets shipped. Ride around for this summer, and THEN install the HFPC, PnP 3.7 IM/TB/Runners, cams, XLR8 pulley and motor mounts. I'm thinking of going with Bisi stage 2 cams and right now a lot of it hinges on what tuning solution I will settle on.

I was always originally planning on pursuing the power adders in stages, but I'm not quite sure what leaps I want to take it in. I know for sure that the HFPC , pulley and mounts are somewhere in the middle between the two right now.

Captured my feelings about the TL exactly. I really do think the shape / lines are timeless. I've gotten quite a few compliments on the car, and I do love how people who have no clue about the TLs gasp when I tell them its 11 years old.

Im hoping by that time acura actually puts something out that is worth it. they just fell off after the 08 type s

Nice, I'm in a similar-ish position. Finished high school with great marks, went to uni, did really well but just felt like utter garbage in my program, decided to take some time off and now I'm here. I mean, I work full time for the city right now and while I'm not making huge buck, its enough to tide me over while I figure out what I really want to pursue - I just figured out quickly enough that I'm not the person that can pilot a desk for the next 4 decades of my life.

Yep, sad but true. And no one saw it coming either.

That's what happens when you wait for YEARS to bring a car out to market.

Sooooo this week I got stranded in Ottawa with Guitarplayer16. Here is a quick little recounting of said adventure:

I drove up Monday, which is a Civic Holiday here in Canuckistan, do work on my headlights with GP16 and pick up my tails which he had so graciously finished for me.

The day went great, minus a small painting fiasco with the headlight housing which forced us to chip off/sand down all the paint and start over.

After we finished the headlights, it was already quite late and I was planning on driving back during the night, but we decided to go out and snap some quick pics of our two cars together. We got to the shoot location, and when Thanh started taking pics, I noticed I had a flat on the rear passenger side tire. After a quick inspection I discovered a GIANT screw wedged in my tire. What's worse is I hadn't realized I had driven on the flat, effectively destroying my tire.

The rest of the story is pretty mundane and basically goes like this: We spent half of the following day trying to find me a new Continental DW in 225/40/18 and NO ONE carried it, so I ended up getting stuck in Ottawa for a second night and we ordered the tire. The following day we installed my Inspire fogs while waiting for the tire to show up and as it turned out (naturally, with my terrible luck) that the tire wasn't going to be here until the following day (Thursday).

Finally, the tire did show up today, although 4 hours later than expected, and I finally parted ways with Thanh and made my way back to Toronto.

Despite my absolutely abysmal luck, I really enjoyed the trip - It was the first time I had 4 days off in a row in what must be a year.

Oh and Thanh took pics. A LOT of pics.

WOW, at least you got some fogs installed and pics by the MASTER lol

I would have lost my mind waitin all that time.

I wanna get inspire fogs so bad but I really don't have confidence on installing them myself and to be honest don't have any confidence in any of the shops around here with my fresh painted bumper lol

The install is super easy - Me and GP managed to get them done in about 3 hours or so, and a good half an hour was taken up by our feeble attempts to relocate my horn(s) lol.

Follow his DIY and go slow with the dremel and you'll have absolutely no problems
