projectwidow '07 NBP Daily TL
Well I guess it is time to finally post some photos of my daily '07 base TL. I originally joined the forum in 2007 when my parents bought this car as I've always liked the body styling of it. I've lurked on the forums for quite some time, but about 4 years ago, I bought the car from my parents. It was a bone stock TL when I got it from them. I was going to keep the car stock as it is my daily, but like any other car guy, I couldn't keep it stock!
I'm not going to do anything crazy with it, but try to keep it nice and clean.
So far I've done:
18" XXR 530 Rims
Tein S-Tech Springs
Type S Rear Sidemarkers
Type S A-Spec Rear Lip
SoCal Autosports Tips
Rear Lip Spoiler
Nexus 7 with rear back-up camera
LED lights under the mirrors
I have the Type S A-Spec Front Lip as well. It is painted and ready for install. I just want to fix a small dent in the front bumper first before I install it. Hopefully should happen in the next few weeks.
I ended up redoing the footwell lights as well. Instead of the factory bulbs, I did a strip of leds. They turn on with the factory alarm/open the doors and give it a nice and elegant look at night.
Probably my favorite thing about the car so far. The Nexus 7 install.

looks great man and keep it up! i agree the nexus 7 install is such a game changer.
please please also put on the aspec side skirts when you do your front. it looks so goofy when people don't (even though most TL owners won't notice it but the ones that are hardcore will )

Yeh I will probably get the side skirts as well. May rock just the front and rear for a bit before I get the skirts though.

Thanks guys! The side skirts have been ordered! It will probably be mid November before I get the front and side skirts on.
Not really a "mod", but I did wrap my door panel trims with carbon fiber vinyl. This is the most realistic carbon vinyl I've seen. From certain angles, it is hard to tell it is a wrap. I originally thought about overlaying them with real carbon but, when I started to take them apart, the thin aluminum piece cannot be taken off without damaging it. It is super thin and you need to pry it around the inner wood panel. The vinyl will do for now. The good thing is if I don't like it down the road, just simply peel it off.

looks good! how come you didn't wrap it all as one piece with the silver portion too? I'm about to pull the trigger on hydrodipping those pieces and I'm going to do the entire part. I've seen many others do it as well, looks super clean.
but yours looks great! how flexible was that material? i know a lot of vinyl that isn't 3m is very very hard to warp around curves (i've tried about 2 other cheaper vinyls and they were impossible to do on the radio trim)

The material is a bit thicker than the standard 3M di-noc(carbon fiber vinyl) but it is pretty flexible and if you heat it up a bit, it contours even better I got a couple different samples from Amazon and this Teckwrap was the best looking.

So I finally got around to doing what I had planned:
- Painted the front bumper & added the Type S Aspec lip
- Added Aspec Side Skirts (Thanks for everyone telling me to get them. It really does complete the look)
- Painted the calipers burnt copper (I know some may say it's a played out color, but I think it flows nicely with my setup and matches the amber markers in the headlights)
- Tinted the taillights. They look dark in certain angles, but when the sun hits them, I love it.

Thanks Steven! Means a lot coming from an OG like you!
Go ahead man! I can't take the credit though. I've seen multiple NBP TL's with XXR 530s and that's what made me want to go that route too. They look good and they are definitely budget friendly. Especially for my daily lol
Below is a pic of my other 420whp ride if anyone is interested.
