motor makes the big difference, but even if u swap u still have a lot of other stuff to swap before it's a type s... haha

My dealer says the same thing...parts for my car are classified as "type s". In 2004 they didn't even call it an "aspec"...it was the sport kit (and doesn't have the aspec badge), but I CAN assure you that it is an A spec as I saw it on in the showroom myself in Dec. 2003.

I think they dropped the idea of a type S after the 2003 model because Acura was trying to make the newer model more "classy" etc...then in 07 they realized the desire for the "updgraded sport model".

 

Theres pics in the so-cal meet thread. He mainly added the type S aspec body kit, Aspec wheels (with not so giant tires) and a supercharger. I think he lowered it a little bit more also.

They didn't, its not a type S. He was misinformed by some idiots at the dealerships who didn't know wtf they were talking about. Idiots like this are pretty common at dealerships nowadays unfortunately, they talk like they know what they are talking about but really they have no clue and the average person accepts it as fact.

 

Aspec 6 speed in 2004 was called the "Sport" model, which is equal to a type "S" newer model. It wasn't even called "aspec" at that point, but it still is one. It's just semantics at this point, and I wouldn't be troubled if my car was called a Yugo. It is what it is.

 

car looks much better in newer pics, great execution in pulling it off...

 

the 2004 had a 6 speed optional package called the dynamic package.
