Looks great..ever consider pulling off the BSDs? TL has such clean lines and I just think the BSD kills the lines.....

damn that's a good idea. Now that you mention it, I guess I noticed that because my old '05 TL didn't have it, but I promptly disregarded it when I got this car for some reason.

I wonder how tough it is to remove. I think I'm gonna go for that though because I agree the lines are nice on the car but the major line to focus on for the side of the car is the line that the door handles sit on. The body molding is bleh

edit: ah, I see it is the same as debadging. Easy enough. I just have to hope there isn't any paint fade

There won't be any paint fade. Just grab an end and peel them off, then clean whatever dirt/adhesive is left. It looks a LOT cleaner without them.

Amazing pictures BTW and I love seeing them because I am an CBP S as well. I just wanted to double check, in the updated photos by the trains the car has H&R sports installed? If so that's IMO a perfect ride height, looks amazing!

yep those photos are with the H&R springs installed. I like the height as well but I will be sadly replacing them with Tein SA's for the handling improvements at the track.

also gonna ditch the a-spec wheels in favor of some lightweight race rims.

I always back and forth about the Aspec kit. I like the side skirts and the rear bumper kit, but im always on the fence on if I like the front enough to want to install it on my own Type S.
I also have CBP and every one and then I get the urge to want to install the aspec kit.

So let me ask you guys since these kits are being discontinued and sold out its obviously going to be a little tough to get everything.

DCHautomotive parts (Honda/Acura dealership out in CA) seems to stock the Carbon Bronze front and rear parts, but show discontinued and unavailable on the side skirts. Does anyone have any idea where I could buy side skirts from, o9r a place that I can buy everything from all in one shot?

I_Love_Cars,
If your gonna pull those H&R's out I will buy them asap. let me know.

Thanks,
James

Hey James - Contact OEMAcuraPartsTim here. He is a great vendor, got me my full kit shipped for $734. If its available still anywhere in the US, he will probably be able to find it.

Oh, and I agree. I couldnt decide on the front either, but then it sold out in ASM for the Type S, so I installed the base lip instead and I love it!

lol of course you're on the fence. Look at how many times you've flip-flopped around on which type-s you own, lol. IT goes without saying you'd bounce around on the a-spec kit as well.

H&R springs will be coming off in another 1-2 months probably. I'll keep you in mind.

yeah for some people the ATLP can be too pronounced/aggressive.

personally i'm going for an elegant but aggressive look. The pipes give it away, but my new wheels coming in are understated at 18" and not fully concave, and I'm not gonna slam the car once I get the Tein SA's.

It should look clean but with a slight touch of aggressive to it with the pipes and semi-concave wheels.

damn now that i'm talking about it I can hardly wait for spring to get here for a new photo shoot!
