Moar CBP! Now with A-spec!

First cool, partly cloudy day we've had here in a while so good detailing weather. Spent a good solid 6 hours today washing, claying, and waxing the car, complete with exhaust, wheels and tire cleanup.

Of course when I get done, there's storm clouds rolling in FML so I rushed out to get some photos. I intended the weather to be better, and thus be able to set up a better camera, so I'm kinda upset about that.

But alas, I had to take something! So here we go, more CBP a-spec pics to help out the .02% of newbies who actually use the Search button to find pics instead of posting " HI LOL I'M NEW ANYBUDDY GOTZ aspec CBP pics 4 mee?!"

No joke the drought this summer made it really hard to find a good day to clean the car up. Hopefully you fare better than I did and don't get rained on.

The summer was so hot and humid I only washed it during the evening, not enough time to do everything. Tried during the day once, ended up in the neighbors pool about an hour into it

I'm dropped on H&R already but the rear suffers because I'm on the TL diet - removed a couple hundred pounds so it doesn't sit as low. You shoulda seen it before that - thing looked like a frickin monster truck lol

In spring I'll be looking at fully adjustable coilovers for sure!

Car looks great! From what I see in the pics, the driver side rear lip is sagging a little, just get it above the edge on the bumper and you're golden!

Were you able to get your Aspec kit from the dealer or through AckTlwhateverhisnameis? I was thinking I'd have to buy another color and have it painted CBP.

CBP is one of my fav Acura colors. Car has a nice clean look so far.
Dang that's my old stomping grounds. I was just up there last weekend, and enjoyed some Kopp's down the street! So wish we has Kopp's in TX.

yessir, that's exactly who I got it from.

He had to source the CBP pieces from several locations across the country, though.

Ironically I used your posts for inspiration to try out the H&R springs on stock suspension

So those photos are actually on those springs - before that, the car sat MUCH higher, like a monster truck.

with Wisconsin winters I'm still a bit concerned about dropping the car too much further, but we'll see

Hey, I can be of some more assistance to you too....in the lower right hand corner of each post-the middle icon is a Multi-Quote button. It allows you to respond to multiple people in a single response. It will like like this (above) when you're done!

Wow. I dropped my car with H&R Sport springs and it was much lower; Did they "settle" yet?

Very very clean though.

Here's what mine looked like, same rims, H&R Sports on Stock 08 Base shocks.

yeah, they've settled at this point but they definitely dropped the car, it's just a matter of how much.

Keep in mind the AT is heavier in front so the drop tends to be a bit more noticeable on an automatic, and I've done a good chunk of weight reduction in the rear - seats, kickpanels, seatbelts, airbags, trunk lining, spare tire, etc. which contributes to a noticeably higher profile in the back.

I'm still up in the air on getting a fully adjustable kit for a lower, more precise drop

lol, the funny part is that as I was making my third response there, I was thinking that exact same thing haha and I half expected someone to come on and point it out. Sure enough, someone called me on it

plan for it and make it happen! I loved my '05 but it was auto and I made the decision that I just had to go back to driving a manual again, so I took some time to line up the cards to make this car a reality. Every second driving it I feel it was worth it.

can't go wrong with ATLP non-resonated is insane, the guys at the dyno were commenting among themselves about how mean the car sounds for only being a V6.

I have decided that I'm completely addicted to photos of the TL. For years I hadn't spent much time in the photographs section of the forum, but now that I have, I can't believe how many awesome looking rides we have on this forum.

I have a new appreciation for pics of the 3G TL and I'm tracking more peoples' progress threads than ever before.

It's a great looking car and awesome pictures like yours make everyone appreciate it even more.

I know my car isn't much but I still enjoy taking pictures of it. It's a fun hobby but it can get pricey with lenses and such

Your car not much? You mean your WDP with a-spec lip and gunmetal a-spec rims? That car looks awesome lol wtf are you talking about.

Your car was my original inspiration for getting the a-spec wheels. I originally wanted gunmetal (I still think it would look good on CBP), because your asparasocks thread is always near the top of the photos section so I stumbled upon it when I started thinking of modding the aesthetics of the car. Saw the gunmetals and said to myself MOAR A-SPEC GOGO

Yes that's me and that's quite the compliment, thank you!

I think A-Spec wheels are underrated here on AZ. I had a chance to trade mine outright for a set of Works but I decided against it because I feel like Works are more common than A-Specs.

I'm glad you were able to find pictures of my car in my cluster-fuck thread
