hah! Exactly my reaction when there were so many seized parts...
And the subframe? Holy balls that thing is ridiculously heavy
Thanks!
Thanks!
Heheh... I got new headlights sitting in my room. I'm supposed to send the outter lens to JNC but I didn't get around to shipping them, D'OH!
I'm planning quad retro with Morimoto Mini D2S. Not as fancy as you, but it's definitely better than my Subaru Legacy projector h3 fogs.
Also, going to kick it up a notch and upgrade my lower-fogs from Lexus ES300 to Morimoto Mini H1s [retrofitting them in the TL-S fogs].
As for the Eagle Eyes... ugh horrible lol. I have new tail lights in my room too! All painted, ready to assemble. Well, I accidentally stepped on the turn signal lens... so I need a new one.
The tail lights will go on at the same time as my TL-S rear A-Spec lip.

My buddy dropped off the car for me today while I was at work...
Drove it and the replaced rear-end links are an improvement! Car feels tight again.
BUT there's this strange zzzzzzzt-zinging noise when I accelerate... I wasn't there to put the car back together as I had work. My buddy, who put the parts back together, thinks it might be the heat shield for the steering rack.
Also, alignment went off during the installation... it's pulling to the left now. Strange.
Otherwise, WOW!! CRAZY improvement! The what people call "friction point" in the clutch pedal has changed significantly. The entire clutch is VERY peppy, very buttery and very sensitive. I'm having more difficulty relearning to drive this brand new clutch than the stage 3 in my buddy's old 6G Celica.
Weird.

For the Easter weekend I was up to this:
It has since been sanded down, added another coat of resin 3 days ago.
It's sitting there waiting to be sanded down again.

I don't know what I'm doing here either
Thanks! Heheh, Hoping to finally be done with it to put it on the though.
Thanks!
My french is no good sorry!
Not entirely sure what you said but uh...
I used to live in (North) Montreal by papineau and sauve. I moved to Scarborough Ontario and I've been here for a while now. I visit Montreal every so often, I'm here right now actually. Leaving back to Scarborough soon.
Says you're from Quebec City. Do you ever come to Montreal?

Very late update. If you can even call it an update.
So some time ago I was driving to a meet in Mississauga.
Heard this crazy clunk noise on my front driver tire. Had a feeling what it was...
Got to my destination and saw this:
Cool... my buddy who helped with my car forgot to clip my fender liner back in. What sucks most is that these were BRAND NEW and I had to wait 2 months for it to come in. Fudge.
Anyway, met with some guys and here's my car next to Bankz.
You'll notice my CF grille is gone. I took it off since it was eff'd up from baking the car... and I wanted to redo it anyway.
Here are some other photos of that meet. Borrowed from abrieluno. Hope you don't mind!
Random shot one day:
A week and some days ago it randomly snowed. Melted a bit when I got off work though.
^^in this photo you can see my tow hook and license plate hole delete
Then a week ago my brakes started to squeal one day... but my brakes are only a month and a half old. Wtf?
I had work though.. so couldn't examine it.
Next day when I got off early, it was still light out. Noticed my rear right brakes were overheating. Padlife is essentially GONE. Ticking noises are made. Squeal goes away with a brake check. Heat was massive!! I put my hand close to it and stumbled. My middle finger poked it.... and this is why you should never touch your brakes after driving.
Instantly burned. That pic was taken 20 seconds after being burned. It was all yellow and white. The burned area felt like my finger was coated in wax. The pain remained for a good 4 hours.
It's only now started to heal.
And no my car isn't purple. It's grey.

Ouch!
Hope your finger gets better man!
Car's looking more complete!
Something needs to be done about your headlights.

And thanks! I got some feeling back at the tip of my finger. Before i couldn't really "feel" my finger. Instead it would feel as if you had 6 layers of wax over your finger. Really weird feeling.
Also, I'm sorta digging the lower-grilleless look. Seems more aggressive without the grille there. Not sure if that's just me or not.

So a mini-side-project. This is NOT for my car, it's for a friend/forum member.
Wanted to post this in that VLed LED DRL thread... but then didn't want to sidetrack it as this isn't a LED DRL. Sort of.
(yes this is a LED)
And granted my phone (Lumia 920) takes crazy night photos... so pictures tend to be a little brighter than most smart phones. So I took most photos in various exposures at the auto settings.
Housing on the floor. -2 exposure.

I'm waiting for videos to upload to my Skydrive [then it'll be on the YouTube]
I'm currently waiting for my battery tester thing to charge so i can take this outside to see how bright it is in darkness.

The new pics look nice.
Only thing you have to do is resurface the headlights. I thought they were clear at first but then zoomed in and saw it was just the haze that made them appear clear.

Again I have brand new headlights sitting in my room ready to be worked on...
And yeah, one of them is "hazed" the other is... well... my dumbass accidentally recleared the housings [inside and out] with... yeah... wait for it... MATTE clearcoat. FML.
I'm usually relatively patient but I don't know why I chose to reinstall the lens onto the housing before waiting for the paint to dry.
I facepalmed so hard.
-while clearing and reinstalling- "yeah, this looks freaking good!"
-after it sealed- "wait.. wtf why is it all cloudy, hazy and crap?!" -looks at can of clear- "matte clearcoat. Eff my life."

I want to take pictures outside---but it turns out my battery charger thing is broken. It only works if I plug it into a wall... I don't know why it broke
Front grille I'm going to redo once I take the bumper off the car again.
Rear A-Spec I have to sand still... been lazy.
But the rear A-Spec is going on at the same time when I finish my tail lights. Also when I get barkeepers friend to clean my exhaust tips

Messin' 'round with the DSLR.
Trying to get back into the groove of things.
Touched up the photo's colors a bit to get the paint's 'real color' as accurate as possible.
I have a thing for vignettes right now I suppose.
As you can see, didn't do anything to my grille yet.
Not even the new paint color can get away from the infamous mismatch rear bumper.
Although, it's actually not as noticeable on the other side. Probably because the left side isn't flush with the fender... stupid clip is messed up.
Little upset with this photo. But oh well.

gave me a good laugh. Great way to start my morning.
alright man... Since you put it that way, and since you spelled my username properly (used o instead of 0) i will temporarily put on my SSM bumper to rework the grille and trim the a-spec to fit the lower grill.
i need to reorder new fogs so those wont be in till next week.

The color you went with looks terrific!!! your car is indeed unique. I love your car mate
Btw where did you get the CF air pipe, or whatever it is called, that is installed on the front bumper? Every time i look at your car, it makes me want to get that piece, and drill the shit out of my front bumper in order to install it.
Do you think it will look good on my car? LOL
