Meguiars Gold Class *pics* 56k beware!
TL Owners,
First allow me to apologize for the lengthy thread, but this is a must see! I have been lazy for 7 months, not waxing my vehicle regularly as I should have been with a NBP. I park outside, with nearby trees constantly dropping sap and spiders "webbin' up" every evening my vehicle sits. I bring my car to the dreaded "soft brush(my-ass) car wash", and always leave with a new sratch or two or three. So after 7 months of punishing my TL, I finally tried to wash and wax it by hand, the best I could. I am a first time waxer, and even tried using clay. My supplies were as follows: Meguiars Smooth Clay Kit, Meguiars Gold Class Liquid Wax and Car Wash, Meguiars ScratchX, Microfiber towels and rags and Mothers Chrome Wheel Polish.
WARNING: Some of the following pics are disturbing, viewer discretion is advised.

Very nice and good job on removing all the scratches and swirls! ScratchX is a great product to remove light scratches and swirls! Some of us here in SoCal just attend Meguiar's detail class this morning and proper technique with the right products can bring old neglect paint back to new luster shine. Keep up the good work!

No doubt, especially when it's not garaged and surrounded by trees! I must admit though, once it's done it looks better than any other color! The Meguiars ScratchX definitely is a great scratch remover, without the abrasiveness of other scratch removers. I could'nt get too much of the water spots off because of it but I ultimately wanted to remove scratches and put a protective layer of wax on. In the spring I should bring it to a shop for the "total" package and I should be good. Next time I may try another wax system, maybe Meguiars 3 step Deep Crystal. I intend to maintain it from now on!

If you are intend to maintain your car, please don't bring it to a detail shop for the "total package"! What you did is very good and the result is great so why spend money for a shop while you can diy? Invest in a dual action polisher and few other products such as #80 from Meguiar's professional line or #83 for intermediate scratch /polish, and techwax or #21 (my favorite) or #7 and #26 all for less than $200 and you can detail you car as many times you want with great result. Detail shop either cut conner (hide the defect, remove too much layer of clearcoat paint) with high price or do a crapy work for less. Good detailer will charge good amound of money and rarely to find.

I've been Canonized ;)
I use Meguiars Gold Class on my WDP and started using it when it came out. I love it, though it works it's magic best on the dark paint.
Good job on the detail
