Ludachrisvt's Build/Picture thread (I'm baaaack)

Well,

I'm finally back in the family after missing my acura for 3 years. I traded my late build 2004 6MT for a MB E350. It was very luxurious but I didn't love it like I loved my TL. When the lease came due I miraculously came across a deal on a 2005 6MT I couldn't pass up! Coincidence right?

anyways, on to the pictures:

The first few pics will be from an EyePhone (if you don't like the quality ... cry?)

This isn't the day she came home because I picked her up late so there wasn't enough light. Brothers in arms!

A few days later this shows up:

Function and form autolife. wtf? Am I the first on azine? I think so!

dice/short shifter install:

boring ...

coilover install!

my good friend alex hard at work swapping top hats ... i owe this guy big time!

notice the wheel gap ... the car is not not sitting on the ground! Its jacked up with barely a two finger gap.

my car is dirty but it doesnt care because it's sitting on its nut sack! There was more room to go even lower and they ride as good as stock. SICK!

more to come! Wheels should get here next week if someone would hurry up and ship them. AHEM * cough *weez* you know who you are. Hopefully I can convince ballinfizzle to do a shoot with me soon.

Riding as good as stock? I doubt that you'll probably have to raise it once you get bigger wheels too

The ride comfort is the same. It does bottom out easily but as far as smoothness its on par. I was actually hoping for a little more road feel. I didn't get it. Cornering is amazing.

it was a old mans luxo barge. VERY boring. No aftermarket support (duh) and no balling potential. It rode excellent, NEVER gave me problems except for the nav being off track and the fit and finish was a dream.

I was checking on that application a few months ago and I didnt see it. Is it officially availabe for the TL or is still for the Accord? Also, is there any dampening adjustability?

air suspension on premium/sport and all models above 500 so yes I had it. The difference in height was about .5 inches. Mods were VERY expensive.

I didn't say I the Acura was baller. It isn't. Well, it is to some people. The point I was making was I loved my Acura and the MB bored me to DEATH and wasn't worth getting another because the ones I could afford had no baller nature. On top of the fact that I love hondas.

Here is a pic of the benz on the last day I had it:

You guys call that baller? No.

Sorry I would have multiquoted this before if I had seen it. This is technically Accord suspension but it is the same thing. There are plenty of guys running accord suspension. Even excellerate said we could use it and be just fine. The specs are the same/similar enough. Only difference is the front top hat.

damn it, missed the multiquote again. It is difficult to lower these cars. You have 1 of 3 options:

1. Use washers to trick the vehicle height sensors - ghetto! and probably dangerous.

2. Get a $2100 (or something like that) stand alone unit that controls the height - um, no

3. Get the dealer to reprogram the ecu for moar lower - none of the guys I talked to would do it for liability reasons.

Lets focus on the TL though, K?

^ Quit yer bitchin'. Considering you probably paid nothing for them, you can wait (and this from one of the most impatient people on the planet ). However, I know how hard it is to wait for something that 1) you really want, and 2) you've already paid for.

You do realize next Thursday is a holiday, right? Which means there will be no progress made by the shipping company on that day.

Okay a few updates today. Nothing big.

First package:

what could it be?

hmmm

tada! Team Voodoo aluminum with pearl finish shift knob via RicksS2k dot com. Improves short throw and shift feel a good amount. The finish also compliments the interior perfectly imo.

Plates finally came in after having a set of temps come off in the rain and another taped in my window

Edit: I guess its a bad idea to post your plates online, eh?

Also picked up some del sol seats for project bubble bucket (Civic).

That's it for now. More to come this week.
goodnight

That is one half-assed packing job on the rims. I know, people send them like that, but it still seems half-assed to me. Get some boxes and do it right.

What suspension is that? Thought he had CT springs...or is that not from him?

I would call it baller. Dude you did nothing to the car to see the potential. The E class dont even need heavy modification. That car is pimp. Slam some rims in there and what a change. You are crazy

Again, wheels look awful unless the car is lowered. Without lowering it might as well be an ML. For that car you HAVE to use an electronic lowering module which breaks warantee and/or is dangerous as hell.

Find me a baller E350/E320 that hasn't had at least 10k spent on it and I'll send you 5 dollars. The exhaust points at the ground for goodness sakes.
