It was a very nice day in Louisville this past Friday and with a new Wide Angle Tamron SP B001 10-24 mm Lens in my possession, we took over 130 shots from our quick meet. Most were snapped by me, the rest were by alexb92 & NBP*Vengeance. Only 12 photos made it to post production. Most were disregarded due to overshadow and harsh evening-eve sun rays as this was around 4-6 pm. This being my first time with a wide angle lens, there was a little learning curve. Regardless though, I love it, it's a fantastic lens for automotive shots. Thanks to Ross & Sahab for coming out on a spur of the moment thing. Here, I give you the 12 final shots. Please give me your thoughts, enjoy.
This first shot is my favorite of the session. Not because my car is in the foreground , but in a personal sense, it's a photo that sums up the perspective fun you can have with a wide angle lens. Shot at 12mm

I really like the black mirrors. I have a WDP and I think I might dip mine and then glossify them. Thinking that would make the flow with the pillars.
Great pictures LeMix.

Nice shots with the wide angle.
Were you using a lens hood? Just wondering about those stray blobs of lights.
Also, is there a filter that you could have used to reduce the amount of reflection from the trees?

The Tamron lens did come with a lens hood. I think the blobs of lights came from shooting in direct/semi-direct sunlight. I didn't noticed it through the viewfinder but glad to see it shows up in the pictures. Don't quote me on this, but if you shoot raw, you can reduce a lot reflection by turn down the "highlight" attributes.

Did you use any PhotoShop effects in those pics?

2014 First Half update
Alright, after what, a 6-month absent? I finally got some pics worthy of a new post. My TL looks a whole lot more different since you guys saw my TL last. So, here we go! Starting with the oldest. I'm going to post the shots I like the most, to be less spammy.
Water By The Bridge Car Show in Louisville, KY on March 22nd. A variety of lenses were used here, from a zoom 18-140mm, to a 10-24mm wide, and then a 8mm fish eye.
And my favorite car from the show:

Southern Roots 2K14 Hosted by a variety of car groups in from KY, TN, IN & OH. Pics were mostly taken with my 10-24mm wide. I've learned a new editing technique, the matte look. People either really love it or hates it. Me, I love it. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pics of the TLs, nothing was really exciting until the car limbo competition kicked in.
And here we have the limbo event, several of my favorite shots:
My favorite car from that show:
This shot was taken by my friend Jessica T., I took the raw and edited it. She's on this forum as well, I'm sure she'll chime in.

TETO (To Each Their Own). This was a small meet that took place last weekend at a small castle outside of rural Louisville. Because I got flack by AlexB92 for my matte effect (he's one of the haters), he wanted me to edit these to be a little more crispier.
I'm sure this looks familiar, you guys saw this in AlexB92's thread.
This M3 Asked me to take a personal pic for him to show his boss. I might be shooting for them at a private event soon.
Here are the rest of the photos in from this meet: https://www.flickr.com/photos/loilem...7644965231025/
And here, we have some fresh, FRESH pics taken on Tuesday. The results were from two Photographers, my friend Vickie T. and I. I ended up doing all the edits. Night photography is rough as hell, but the end results with one bad ass picture was totally worth the troubles. She interchanged between a wide 8-22mm and a 50 prime Canon mount, while I only used a 10-24mm. I had a fish eye and a 35 prime with me as well, but didn't feeling like swapping out the lenses.
These 2 shots were from a 50mm prime, I just love how so direct it makes the car look. No distortion whatsoever.
And here are couple shots of the 2nd photographer/aspiring model. Just a tad blurry without the tripods:
My favorite shot of the night:
And my most favoritest shot of the night! Me trying to outdo the above hood pose...
The rest of the photos from this outing can be seen here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/loilem...7644619972460/
All questions, criticism, comments are welcome!!!
Next time, the car will be totally different (hopefully)!
Cheers

Yes, I'm running XXR 527's 8.75x18 with Hankooks 225/40 all around. The same set up is currently on the new pictures as well, just matte black. =)
*edit* They're Chromium Black and are in 5-lugs only pattern, not the usual universal 10 holes.
That's Ross's car, he's on this forum as well. I'll hit him up and asks him to detail you in!

Met up with fellow TL enthusiasts from TLouisville last friday and got some night shots after a long hiatus, I think over a year? Since the first few pictures that were uploaded in this thread. These are some of my favorite shots from a nearly two hours session of withstanding November's feet numbing, cold weather. But, it was totally worth it since we have the beautiful Louisville's skyline to use as our backdrop!
My TL in winter's mode
The TLouisville's Crew
With what my friends called the "God's Mod Headlights" on.
Sahab's Daily
Ross's Ride
Mario's TL
More night shots from this session as well as previous ones that weren't posted... LINKY

Damn these TL's are pearl. Absolutely love the backdrop for these pics. Glad to you're back to posting. What's the deal with your TL's gas lid? Is it a different color or am I seeing things
