Looking for painted calipers....pics
Hey guys, thinking about painting my brake calipers but didn't know exactly what color to do. Does anyone here have an NBP TL with painted calipers? Post some pics please .

I painted my rears black to match my front Brembo's.
I suggest something dark, while you're at it spray paint the rotor hub black as well. No more rusty look.
Another plus on black is that its a subtle mod that looks factory.

Yeah I know black always looks good. My front Brembos are already black because I have the TLS. I just would like to see what polished red or yellow or something would look like. I'll be changing my rotors to drilled ones to make the car look and stop better.

I used high heat black paint. these come in various brands; also available in spray or brush forms.
I used a spray version.
Cleaned my calipers, gave them a bath with brake cleaner.
I also took the caliper brackets off. cleaned them.
I left the piston hanging by coat wire.
then simply spray the parts you want black with the high heat paint.
Since nothing rubs against the components you just painted, the paint is not likely to come off.
To the OP, were you planning on changing the color of the fronts?

I used a brush to do mine. I didn't want to risk screwing up anything if I took off the calipers. I just used a Dremel and a variety of different sized wire brushes to get the rust off, sprayed it all down with some brake cleaner, and then painted. As long as you prep the area properly and put on a few good coats, it shouldn't chip or flake off later down the road.

Yeah I was actually going to take the front stock TLS calipers off and sand them and paint them a new color. The only bad thing is I'll loose the "Acura" name on them. I can customize something though I guess. I just didn't know if someone on here might have already had theirs painted. I wanted to see what red calipers looked like on the NBP TL. My Z06 and GTR had red calipers and they looked great so I'll probably stay down that road. My AMG had silver to match the car color but it wasn't loud enough. I'm plaining on doing a set of black ADV.1 wheels or Volk CE's in the black or dark grey color like the stocks.
