After 8-1/2 years, I actually have a mod update for the Type S!

Meko, the noise you hear is from the filter trying to suck air into the engine....i have a 4" SRI and damn i love that sound....if you are worried about tiny droplets hydrolocking your engine, you can sprinkle water on the intake and nothing will happen....smart thinking on your part was that you didnt open the throttle completely or hit vtec or some....

but you are fine !!!

If you say this is a waste of time, I trust your input. I can always send it back to Amazon, if needed.

MEKO-I've got Nokya 7k bulbs in the DRL's right now. Post a link of the LED's you're talking about. I'm open to getting ones that are more "white" and come closer to matching the Audi style LED's in the headlights!

^^^Amazon is EXCELLENT with returns...they even provide you a shipping label to send back normally.

Steven, I'd take that sticker off altogether. I noticed in my research that it's a generic pipe and the filter is what makes them call that brand. I noticed they had a AEM filter and a K&N one. I wish they sold that little short pipe alone since I already have the dryflow filter Anil set me up with.

By the way you need resistors if you LED.
Found the link

$65 is so cheap for the set

Edit: Actually their bulb is kind of has blue in it..
you want like 5K color right

Steven....i know USR wants someone to test out the LED DRL's for him....the DRL's will have load resistors inbuilt so you wont have to install any load resistors....

let me know if you will be interested....the test set will be pretty much free

MEKO-I think I'm going to stick with my updated bulbs. They were "Plug 'N' Play".....so much easier!

Thanks though!

Dang...Anil, if you find out if he's interested in having someone that DOESN'T have OEM DRL bulbs test, I'd be very interested in that too.

I have the DRL module, which has the trigger to kick on when it senses that low beams aren't on and run at 75%. I still have the Nokya yellows but have been itching to try to go with some 6k whites. I just haven't been able to get any conclusive answers on what would work with the module. Thank you if you do get a chance to talk to him.

Well, I already have the DRL module that turns my oem fogs into my DRL. I actually have it wired to a switch to turn them off when I want to. They clash with the white parking lights from the switchbacks.

I'm just wondering if they would work the same as the cars that come with the DRL feature built in. Well, if he wants a guinea pig for the 04-06 crowd with the module already, I'm definitely your guy.

Steven, please do have a talk with your little friend. Ignoring someone and/or being sarcastic with them doesn't qualify as "squashing it and moving on". Please keep in mind that I took the high road and didn't say a lot of things I could have after all the name calling from him. I even decided to apologize if I was ornery after the first round, which he managed to throw in my face.

I'll contact Simon myself...in the past it's gotten me a lot more than a $4's off for using some generic self promoting code anyway.

No way, wasn't your fault? It was ME that misinterpreted? And again telling me where and when I should be posting?!

Really didn't expect this from you...

EDIT: And know why he's making them for the 07 and up crowd? Because they have DRL's. But then again, so did the older Canadian models (which is where he's from, right?) and so do SOME TL's, like mine, that have the module. Which is why I asked. If you're going to be a prick, at least own it.

Hey KJ, with the HnR springs the drop is not much at all...he still has a finger gap between the tires and the fender....so you wont need to roll/pull....

now the tein S techs with another local member has provides a little more drop than the HnR's....and you will need to roll/pull if you install that with the spacers....

Damn. I'm excited to get the drop, I think Matt's Type-S looks fantastic from the pictures I saw in the KS Bi-weekly meet thread. Do you think the type-s waffles would look sunken in if I ran those springs with no spacers?

I don't really know a thing about fender work, but I feel like I'd rather avoid it.

Thanks for helping out with answers guys. Rhonda and I just went to see To Rome With Love with Woody Allen....skip it!

Anyway, KJ-they won't look sunken, but the spacers make a BIG difference. The Akata's were only $135.

I'm sold on the looks of the spacers, just concerned about rubbing with my drop. Decisions, decisions. Any negative affects of fender work?

KJ, with springs you dont need to worry about pulling and rolling....

I know Rockstar told me this long back:

First drop
Then adjust the camber
Then measure the gap between the fender and the tire and then order spacers

Sweet, thanks Swoosh. I'm not sure that I'll be getting a camber kit though. First I'm going to do the drop, then get an alignment (I think lifetime from Firestone) and see what everything looks like. I would like to do it all at the same time though by just having the shop toss the spacers on while they are doing the springs.

Since I plan on doing V2 spacers so that I don't have to mess with the studs, the smallest I could do up front is 15mm anyway.

Quick Reply: After 8-1/2 years, I actually have a mod update for the Type S!
