Cool LiquidXTS's '07 TL-S NBP transformation.

Good afternoon fellow Acurazine members! I just recently registered on the forums after creeping on the low here for many months prior to finding a clean TL-S.

My name is Waisna, Wazzy, or Wazzy-moto as some people refer me to as Wasabi.

Past toys I had are: 00 Toyota Camry, 01 Honda Civic, 91 Nissan Z32, 08 Mazdaspeed 3, and a 95 Honda Accord CD5.

Here are "some" of the pictures I can attain at this time of my previous cars.

Top of UCI parking structure.

Celfie?!

Top of Fashion Island parking structure.

Just got a mani and pedi for her.

So I started looking for a TL-S like 6 months ago in WHITE! I really wanted a white one since it was my favorite color on the car. Something about a white car brings out the sexiness for me.

Unfortunately, I didn't find any that is a "clean title" or just clean overall in SoCal. Damages all over and they still want $$$ for it. They all look like they were neglected big time by the previous owner(s) I just don't get how some people treat a Japanese luxury car like this! Makes me sad.

I was about to give up after many attempts going from private sellers and dealers. Gas was killing me after months of hunting for one.

Early January 2016
I gave it one more shot looking online, and a new listing came up from Cypress, CA. It was a NBP 07 TL-S. Not the color I wanted, but clean according to the pictures online with low miles (76K). Just came from the East Coast.

Left work late night, rushed up to Cypress to go see it in person.

They drilled the license plate onto the bumper with out a bracket! =/

Love the rear!

2007 NBP Acura TL-S with 76k stock!

Spent almost 2 hours at the dealer going back and forth with the digits. Next thing you know, I got an amazing deal and drove off the lot with this bad boy right before they close! LOL, (I think they got annoyed by me and wanted to sell it to me after spending so much time. Would be a waste of their time if they didn't sell it to me LOL)

Next day, took it to my work place. (I'm a manager at a Automotive Service Center) and had the whole car checked out. No frost bites on the entire car! PHEW!!! ( I did check it really quick before I bought the car that night )

Transmission fluid looks like it's brand new, I got all new motor mounts all the way around. Timing belt was done at 58K. The car was a certified used Acura in the East Coast. I was pretty happy.

It finally rained in SoCal!

After owning it for 3 days, the mod bug bite me!

First mod! A-Spec Kit all the way around!

Took it to a contractor body shop that does dealership work. Got the whole front bumper holes filled and repainted and reinstalled with the A-Spec kit all the way around!

A-Spec Front End on a 07 TL-S

4x4 Status!!

After the kit, I had to do something about the 4x4 status!!! I went shoes shopping right after! LOL

At first, after many days visualizing in my head what shoes looks good. I had my mind made up getting the Advans RSII. After over thinking too much, the Advans was way over my budget even with hookups, discounts, used...

I then stumble upon VMR through a buddy since he own a Bimmer. Went to VMR headquarters in Anaheim, CA. Got greeted instantly by Tracy Shaw. Tracy knows his stuff! He doesn't just sell to sell, he actually been in the scene! After probably 2 hours conversing with Tracy, I finally made up my mind fitting the TL-S with some 19x9.5 +33 VMR710FF (Free Flow) in graphite sapphire!

VMR V710FF Graphite Sapphire

Time to take these babies home!

Went back to my shop to have them fitted!

Fitted some 245/35/19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport! Only the best on my baby!

VMR GLORY

Them concave!!! =O

Fitted on the lift.

VMR showroom!

Time for some coil-overs to get rid of the gap! Went to Trinity Autosport in Anaheim, CA and met up with Joe! Amazing guy that builds race cars for a long time. When you enter his shop, all you'll see GTR's, BMW M3's M5's Porsche all gutted out race car ready. Joe didn't mind working on my TL-S because he use to own one! Very professional and passionate guy on what he do. Here is a BEFORE picture of the TL-S 4x4 status

4x4 status in front of Trinity Autosport!

Got some TEINS Street Flex on this baddie! So now here how the TL-S sits after the drop and cleaned up without a detail.

It's been 3 days now with the TEINS. I am expecting another .25 drop within a week once it settles. If it's still high, I'll be dropping another half an inch because I'm all about that lowlife!

Dang, I'm exhausted sitting here at Starbucks updating my life away.

There's more to come since I haven't found the cure to my sickness yet! I need a DR!!

Wazzy-Moto out!

I wish it was a 6spd. =( It was like trying to find the end of the rainbow with the jackpot when I was looking for a manual.

Love the progress man the car looks clean! I was looking for a new set of wheels a few months ago and Tracy was super super helpful. Unfortunately there was nothing that cleared my brembos in 18" (19s are too harsh for me/my wife) even though I really wanted vmrs. Eventually I went tsw Nurburgring and never looked back but you have a nice set up

Those tein street flex are awesome too! What did you set your preload at?

And last, what are your thoughts on the 360? I have a pro500 hard wired but have been eying the 360 even though I read a lot about false signals until you turn tsr off

Any plans for tint? Looking forward to more from another socal guy!

Thank you! Yea, I was doing a lot of research on wheels that needed to clear the Brembos. A lot of the style I wanted was crossed out due to the big brakes. You never know, I might get the Advan RSII in the future Before I bought the wheels, I had a really hard time deciding going 18's or 19's. It was the hardest decision. I did a lot of test fits and finally concluded that 18's were still too small for the TL big body in my opinion. So I took the bullet and went 19's knowing everything is going to be more expensive. As far as ride, they aren't that bad, but then again I am 10 clicks out front and back on the TEINS and PSS combined. It's way too soft to my liking. I will be stiffening up the suspension big time later on without the wife approval. LOL

The Max 360 is awesome so far! I still have the original MAX on my CD5, so it wasn't really a big upgrade for me. It takes awhile for the GPS to figure out what is false then once it learns, it'll save it onboard. Just gotta drive around multiple times locally for it to learn. Arrows are spot on! Also the arrows are color coded for different bands! (A nice touch esp on a OLED screen)

The car is tinted! Haha! It came with the car, I believe it's like 30% or something. Pretty light. Thinking about getting some ceramics later on if it's worth it. Never experience them.

Oops my bad about the tint I see it now haha.

Those advans are sweet and the ones I would get but they are way too expensive haha. I used to have xxr 530 but they were aggressive and I ran a thin tire so the ride was rough. I changed my wheel setup for a more family friendly setup for when I get to that point so I stayed away from the 19s.

I'm drive at 4 clicks all around by myself but switch it to 8 clicks when my wife is a passenger or other family members. I highly recommend the Edfc active kit if you want to change on the fly (I wrote this thread on it: https://acurazine.com/forums/tires-w...review-923959/)

I'll have to think hard about the 360 it seems so sweet!! Doesn't give you a lot of false alarms from cars blind spot features? (That's what I was reading on the radar forum)

Congrats! looks like your not messing around and getting right to work. I love the way the car sits now!

By the way the 95 accord looks very nice for its age - hard to find one nicely mod and not rusted.

Naw, the 360 is good with the new frequency coming from the new cars with those features. Sometime it comes up, but it's grayed out, meaning it'll show on the display but not sound anything. And when it picks up the signal from car to car, it just ignores it. =)

I am looking into getting the EDFC Active, but it's pretty expensive right now with all that I spent. I am in the market trying to find a used good condition one but no luck so far.

Thank you! I just actually dropped it another inch today. LOL. I somewhat thought it was sitting kinda high still.

New update on the drop will be posted tomorrow!

My bro got the CD5 brand new when it first came out. He gave it to me after I sold my Z32 when I was in college. Took awhile for it to become what it is right now on the Accord. The paint job is off the BMW M3/M5. IMOLA RED

thanks for the info!

so through text messages i helped a guy and his mechanic install his EDFC kit. unfortunately his wife didn't like the ride quality with coilovers and the EDFC kit so he had to take it off after a week.

he's a good guy and his system is just sitting there as a loss so hit him up and i'm sure he'll give you a good deal. EDFC kit was used for maybe a week. so basically brand new, below is his thread, just hit him up:

So far, I've been just using over the counter products. Mostly Mcguires quick detailer.

Once I get my hood redone, the real detailing begins! Lol

A little bit lower than my current Stech's. But not too low to the point where I won't be able to make it up my driveway without scraping and make it therefore impractical to drive. I'll try to find a nice balance...but that is the great thing with coils

Its interesting that the Type S for me looks way better with 19s (probably the muscular front lip doing its thing) and regular TLs look best with 18s. Your car has made me want mesh 19s all over again, and I promised myself not to go down that route haha

HAIIII!

Since speaking with you, I've had the opportunity to work with several TL Type S customers we've now confirmed that 18x8.5 +35 works just fine with TL Type S Calipers! At the time of our conversation, I wasn't sure about it because we hadn't had the chance to test fit!

Nice! My boss just bought a TL for 1500 and he's doing a all out Type S conversion besides the engine and trans. LOL, It's a lot of money!

Thanks!

Sell it! And pick up the TLS!, we are all here for you! Haha!

Just an update today... Got the RV6 J-Pipe and XLR8 Quad Exhaust (resonated) installed! I love the exhaust note! Even though it's resonated, it put its notice out there! I know because I see head turns! Sound clip will be coming soon!
