I was thinking about just plastidip over top of the decal in black. I don't want to spend another $25 to redo it when it will cost $6 for a can of plasti dip and I can do my rear emblem and grill.

 

thank you sir. im not worried about it. in person you cant notice it and thats the only pic where it is noticeable. I think it is just the angle. but now hes got me thinking about a paint job......

I will post a picture when i get mines... Its been back and fourth for about 3 months now but i hope i can finally get it and put it on.

Mine were gloss black. My bumper got banged up so I got it repainted and now I need a new set.

I went on the site to order but I do not see gloss black. Am I missing something?

Sucks we need more glue

 

i didnt use any glue. i just wiped with alcohol and stuck on there. used a hair dryer to heat them up a little to stick better. what are you gluing your whole aspec lip on there?

My First A on the decal isnt even sticky so ill be needing to glue it pretty good unless the heat makes them stick. We got freezing rain last night/morning and i woke up to 1/2" of ice on my car

 

^3M emblem adhesive from an auto parts store. costs $3...use a small amount on the car itself.

this is all in the directions, i don't know why you guys have such an issue with this. i am just trying to look out for all my customers so that the letters don't fall off in the rain, driving, etc.

you don't need a ton of adhesive, just a little bit. i usually apply it on the car with a toothpick. works great. and you can use the adhesive for all sorts of projects. it's a good product to have on hand anyway.

 

^I know to use 3M emblem adhesive used it on the first set I did.

 

It's a complicated mod that takes too much effort and looks like crap in the end...what a waste.
