Sweet updates man!

I came from base suspension to TEIN SA + Progress RSB so the change was like night and day for me. With you coming from Type-S suspension I'm sure its still a whole lot more fun to drive now

On a side note; DEM ASPECS.

Its a huge difference! Since its all at the same time, its hard to tell how much would be from either, but regardless, I love it!

And DEM A-SPECS indeed, thanks again!

Question for any headlight Gurus that might stop by in here - I'm not sure this picture will help at all, but do my lights need to be raised some?

I adjusted mine the other night, they're at about the bumper or a tad higher of other cars.

The manual says to measure from the ground to your projector, back up 25 ft from a wall, then make your headlight cutoff 1.9" below where you measured on the car.

From ground to light mine was 24", I made the light 22" but I felt it was a little too high. Backed them down about an inch or so.

Thanks Austin. Nice gold star you have there.

Now I just need to find a flat place that I can use to measure.

Although I've modded my stock headlights to look similar to type-s headlights, there's just something about the type-s front end that looks more aggressive than mine

probably the DRL projector in the middle.

sexy pics KJ!

Thanks man. I think its the DRL ring too. Maybe you could truly complete the conversion with some real Type S light!

I am surprised that these turned out how they did. When taking them in the sun I couldn't see as well how they were coming out, but when I sat in my car and went through them, I was impressed. Phone takes pretty decent pics!

Didn't have a chance to get the roof spoiler on yet, but hopefully soon!

Fk me...after a weekend of caring for my car's paint and my wife's SSM Accord, I really need to get a silver or white car next. Black is too much work. That silver looks perfect.

Thanks J!

Having owned a NBP TL previously, no matter how much I liked it, I wouldn't let myself get another. I'm too anal about keeping it clean, and no matter how hard I tried, NBP just wouldn't stay that way. Not to mention the constant battle of swirls that I never seemed to win.

My car is nearly always clean as could be anyway, but even when its pretty dirty, I love that you can't even tell.

Yea, I've really been thinking the same. It would finish off the front end I think. Gotta decide on color, either the black chrome or the carbon fiber. Don't have any other carbon fiber tho, so I'm leaning towards black chrome.

I totally agree this. I regret that i got NBP sometimes. It's PITB to keep it clean. I originally was gonna get WDP, but couldn't find right one. Hell, my AM CL wasn't bad at all compare to NBP. My next one will be white or silver too. Don't get me wrong, NBP looks great when it's clean IMO.

I need to know how to make the non-S front aspec lip fit the S bumper...would you mind PM'ing me how-to?

Dumb question - why do you have spacers on your wheels? Are they for proper fitment or just to make the wheels stick out more, so they're more flush with the body or something?

Hey thanks man!

Spacers are simply to compensate for the weak offset of the Acura OEM wheels. After lowering the car some, they tend to look a little sunken in without spacers.

And as for the base a spec lip, you are actually the second person to ask about it tonight! I made a thread about it way back when, found here

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/quick-tips-install-07-08-base-spec-front-lip-type-s-858730/

Hopefully that can answer your questions, but let me know if you have any others.

And anthracite, WDP was my first choice too, but couldn't pass this one up when I found it.

Thanks man. Big undertaking, good luck with the conversion. But my type s wheels are already gone. Check the black market here, there are usually some for sale.

Thanks for the thread - looks like it's exactly what I needed

Cool, I didn't know anything about spacers. Are the sizes you have just about right, or would you change it? I plan on getting the same wheels. Looks pretty good from here (photos), but its always a little different in person.

Sizes are about perfect, I wouldn't change them. If you aren't lowered, definitely no rub. If you are, depends on how low.

Ok, so here is the thought I've had lately, need some info and opinions on it though.

Since I have a base front lip, and its not quite a perfect fit, what if I replaced my bumper with a base bumper? Would that be as simple as it sounds? Could I keep my lower grills and everything? After seeing ArthurL's front, it got me thinking.

Anyway, thoughts, input, opinions?

Haha, thanks for at least saying low instead of high. For the next few months, I'm at 25.8" in back, and about 25.5" in front, just measured it for you.

...don't DE Type S your dang car! Get the Type S lip instead if you're worried about fitment! If I had one, I'd have a Type S lip all day, it's aggressive as heck looking.

It's funny, when you measure fender to ground, it doesn't seem like much of a difference...I'm at 24" front and back (last I checked)

Some of us that did the Base Front lip conversion on the Type S have had small fitment problems on the sides, i know i do.

I think it will be the same if you changed out to the older front bumper.

Just have to be spot on when drilling the holes for the zip tie thing to attach to the front bumper. Or drill another hole for another zip attachment for extra hold .

I know, I know, not trying to De Type S the car! But the ASM lip isn't available in Type S anymore, and I like the clean lines of the Base lip. And it really only comes up because I may have access to a reasonable priced ASM Base front bumper so it would be easy, so long as the bumpers are plug n play.

And Beat - It would be an 07-08 Base front bumper, so the lip would match up perfectly to it.

On a side note, how would I add another zip attachment to the lip?

Look for a replacement zip attachment, and or hot glue another one to the front lip. I just never had the time to expierment with it but i know it can be done. I had the bodyshop try to fix my lip but they was lazy and put some kind of epoxy that didnt stick for nothing.

Get under the car and press down on different areas from below and see which will hold the top flush...then drill a hole and run a new zip tie from below. I had to run a small screw into the inside (where I did my accord fogs) to keep my aspec nice and tight. That ghetto ingenuity, baby!
