Kansas City National AcuraZine Meet-Sunday, June 6th

We had a great 2 days in Kansas City.

Saturday night, we had our first ever cruise with around 20 TL's going all the way through Kansas City. We wound up in Downtown Kansas City in the Power & Light District for drinks, dinner and partying. See pictures at this link:

https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...=770709&page=6

Here some shots of our caravan in the middle of our cruise around the Country Club Plaza (picture taken by Buda)

But here are pictures from the actual meet....

We had 3 NSX's show up...early on, here's a picture of 2 of them.

Sirius/XM was there to hand out goodies for everyone. Plus, there is a free "sneak peak" of XM Nav Traffic going on right now!

Overall, we're growing this event. We had over 70 cars at the meet. We were happy to welcome 20+ Honda's as well!

NSX #3

Here's our hardware winners-top winner's came all the way down from Illinois! We had guys come from as far away as Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois.

And the two Illinois TL's that took the top trophies!

A special thanks to Jay Wolfe Acura in Kansas City, Missouri. They set the bar very high-everything is FREE for everyone attending today. There were burgers, brats and hotdogs as well as chips and water for everyone. Plus, special "Thank You" gift package for all cars and car owners that included discount coupons for part and service as well as free food and discount coupons from Quizno's. We had music all day today long and AcuraZine stickers for all cars.

This was our 3rd Annual Event. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Brother, Jay Wolfe Acura/KC rocks! They clear off their entire front lot so we can park more than 70 cars. Everything is no charge to participants-food, trophies, plaques, participant gifts, discount coupons, etc. Plus, the majority of their staff either cooks, judges, plays music, helps clean up. They basically give up their only day off to sponsor this event.

I agree- that Acura dealer is awesome. I'd love to see a Lexus or Infinity dealership do that for a meet at no cost to anyone. Nice.

Great looking cars. Would've loved to have come if I didn't live 8 hours away.

If this was on a Saturday, I could have definitely made it. I hope you guys can plan for Saturday next year, but I know it'll probably be pretty hard to close a lot during Saturday for a meet.

Great turn out nonetheless!

^^^ Yea, the dealership is open until 6pm, so it's really difficult to do a Saturday. Having the event at the dealership is a big deal and eliminates a whole lot of logistics problems too.

It was great to have Sirius/XM there as well. They gave away a lot of stuff during the event-thank you very much Cory Miiller!

A few guys from up north stayed the night on Sunday and are driving home today (Monday)-they took an extra day off so they wouldn't get home too late on Sunday night.

I'm wanting to know that as well. I forgot to ask him but will try to track down that person. Will let you know when I find out. Too bad 6 spoke wheels just don't look good on a TL because those wheels look even better in person.

Appreciate that. Steven did a lot of the prep work and organization on the forums. I was pretty much behind the scenes right up till the week of the meet as work has been a killer.

That's definitely something we will consider for next year to make it easier for people that have to travel long distances. It would be really hard for the dealership to help out as much with space and everything their employees do for us though. We will try work something out.

Guys, I would like to recognize Buda for all the hard work, time and effort he does for this event. If it wasn't for Sean, none of the judging would come off as well as it does! Buda has been the main person who organizes the judging criteria for the trophies, plaques and certificates that are handed out. And everybody gets excited about winning the hardware! He is truly in charge of the competition portion of this big event. And believe me-judging close to 70 cars is a difficult undertaking.

I've said it once before, but I'll say it again-Buda is the man!

If it wasn't for surgery, I would definitely have made the drive from Chicago to KC for this event. Never been to KC, and this would've been a good excuse to go. Looks like the turnout was good and everyone had a good time! Nice job to all involved!

Great pics LTxArucAx60! That's awesome that you got both of our cars in that last pic to show off the wheels. Also I glad you took pics of the Scion. I wanted to spend more time looking over that car but it was only eligible for 3 categories so I wasn't at it long.
