Thx man. Not a dumb question at all, I wasn't sure at first when I bought it and was thinking the same thing. Had to replace my worn stock one though and pulled the trigger on that one. The one I got did say "Manual" on it, however even though it says it's for manual, it'll still work perfectly on the AT shift knob base.

Tint! (Finally)

Finally got the tint on this thing - 35% all around, excluding windshield. Snapped some pics today on the new phone while getting gas The Note3's camera isn't bad huh?

Thx! Just trying to have fun with it

Took a couple in the work parking lot...late afternoon lighting makes for better pics. After driving this around with the tint on for a few days, I'm happy I went with 35% since it's dark enough to be effective but not too dark such that I'd get pulled over all the time.

The car still looks so...tall. Can't wait to get those springs on

Thx bro! BTW thanks for going out of your way to look for those brackets for me. If you can't find them, no worries - I put the big "front" ones on the back instead (though I'm sure they'll fall off someday and I'll try to follow your method to replace them haha)

Car looks good except for the undersized wheels and the high back end. I am new to the forum so I may have missed discussion regarding upsizing +1 or +2 OEM for your wheels before lowering. More $$$ but you also get added benefits such as looks, ride, traction, etc. I did a +1 OEM on my '10 TL-SH and added ground effects kit which improved overall looks and made it look lowered. I was planning on lowering it later once I saw what it looked like and found that I could improve it overall.

I hope you continue to enjoy your TL and the journey along the never ending road of mods.

Haha yea man, I was actually surprised to find out that the stock waffles are only 17". Didn't plan to spend money on other wheels, and I don't need 2 sets since I'm in California and just use all season tires. If I did have to get another set for practical reasons I'd probably be more inclined to go that route. I really like the look of the stockies though. Meanwhile, H-Techs offer a moderate drop, eliminating the wheel gap and making the tires flush with the fenders (hopefully solving the aesthetic problem of small tires).

Thanks, I actually just took them off, they took a beating from the elements and road debris. Had to order more vinyl. They do look sharp tho.

Haha yeah. I'm glad we went that route too, since if we ever want clear lenses we can just peel them off.

Thx much appreciated! And, good choice on yours as well
The few mods that I did have been really simple / moderate. I haven't even gotten the whole A-Spec kit on!

I guess with that in mind....

So Far:
-Front Type-S A-Spec Kit
-White Interior LED Kit
-White License Plate LED's
-RAZO Carbon Fiber Shift Knob
-Nokya 2500K Hyper Yellow Fogs
-Yellow Lamin-X Fog Light Film
-Debadged Rear/Trunk
-Type-S Mini-badge on grille horizontal bar
-M3 style Roof Spoiler
-Repainted Front Brembo Calipers to red
-Rear red matching Caliper Covers
-Tint 35% Johnson Window Films all around

Coming Soon:
-Tein H-Tech Springs (awaiting install)
-Moleskin for tinted windows (awaiting install)
-Kinivo Bluetooth HFL/Audio with Galaxy Note 3 (Installed but haven't figured out where to mount it yet. This BT device is awesome!)
-Rear Type-S A-Spec (Maybe)
-Custom/Cleared Headlights (Maybe)

Here's where it stands so far. I'm debating whether or not the rear A-Spec kit is worth it for my car, so any feedback is appreciated - do you guys think it looks naked in the back? If it's not worth it then I'd probably want to do a mod sooner for the headlights and / or sidemarkers, and look at other projects for the car..

Rear TLS A-Spec Installed

Got the rear A-Spec installed. It really does look more complete now, and I'm loving the way it looks! Snapped a couple of pictures this morning.

H-Techs go on later this week, I hope.

I realized that before I got the rear, I thought that the difference between the Type-S stock bumper and the A-Spec rear were much more subtle. But once it's on the vehicle and you see it in person, it's totally different, and really accentuates the exhaust tips.

Low, Tints, A-Spec - all done!

Finally got around to putting the H-Techs on over the weekend, and here are the results! Took pics at sunset, and some of them look extremely surreal.
Thinking about doing some custom lighting/headlights next, then perhaps moving into performance mods.

Looks good so far without the side a-spec kit. But maybe in the future you should complete it. Thumbs up on you CBP TL-S! I gotta get started on my progress thread. I'm also a new member and first time Acura owner. I have a 08 CBP TL-S

Thx bud. And like I said on your new thread, grats on the pick up. I love this car as a DD and CBP is a great color. I considered getting the full A-Spec kit many times, but I honestly can hardly tell the difference between A-Spec and Type-S side skirts and think that I'd rather invest in other mods for the ~$200-$250 that it'd cost...we'll see though!

Forgot to take a pic of this, but also picked up some little valve covers from Amazon to match the red Brembos & covers...

Now we're talking! Looks great-I like the caliper covers on the back too.
Thanks guys
Overall it feels pretty close to stock - just a little less smooth of a ride, as expected, but definitely feels more tight in turns due to less roll and lower center of mass, I think. Rides great, though I'm a bit paranoid that I may not have cut enough material off of the bump stops in the front...adam do you remember how much you cut off?

Not much was taken off and I was fine. The bumpstops have 4 sections I think? I want to say 1 middle section was removed.
