Heyo! Good to see another Kansan on the sub! I was born in Sedgwick county, but live in KC now. We'll need to figure something out to get our squads together sometime!
I would like to, but the wichita uasquad doesnt do anything.
It's clean, the light cutoff is sharp. When you align the lights, it looks way better than stock.
Nice! I might have to look into getting me a set. It's the first time I really heard of any aftermarket headlights giving better output than stock when it comes to the Acuras because of their HIDs. How was the wiring? Any pics of it?
its basically plug and play man.
just reuse your ballasts and bulbs from your old headlights into these.
the back housing and layout of the headlights is almost identical to stock
Installed a new lightweight crank pulley and tossed the XLR8 pulley.
Installed new taillights that are cleared and tinted lightly. They're not the same as the CDM taillights I had on my other TL, and that mistake still hurts.
I think I am done with modding this car. Now I'm looking forward to the new Type-S coming out.
easily the coolest ASM ive ever seen. awesome work. typically not a fan of a spec wheels but they look great here
Appreciate it. I have a hard time with aftermarket wheels so I do my best to make OEM setups work.
So today apparently I found out my driver side struts collapsed. You can even see them in the last photos I took. You'll notice the passenger side has an almost OEM sized wheel gap. Currently she's sitting on Tein S Tech springs.
So I did the logical thing and ordered some Tein Street Advance Z coilovers w/tophats and OEM upper mounts.
Since Tsudo still hasn't got their shit together after 4 months, I am displeased and sad to announce I also ordered a brand new XLR8 resonated catback. As much as I hate the brand, the current XLR8 catback is rotting from the inside and I can barley drive it. The baffles in the rear mufflers rusted out and now the car is absurdly LOUD. I can't have this anymore.
Sorry to hear about your exhaust troubles, I wouldn't have supported a company again if you were not pleased with their product the first time. Im kinda surprised it fell apart. My plan is to do my own catback using the 2.5in Trubendz piping then Magnaflow mufflers with a good looking dual tip.

Where do you source your pipe from? I thought about this but concluded I had no idea what I was doing or how to do it.
I have not done it yet. That’s m still on stock catback with Pcd’s, endless jpipe, and mm delete. The trubendz kit is online for $200 in 2.5 inch. You’ll just need a resonator and mufflers. I’m sure an exhaust shop could install everything for you for about a couple hundred but our exhaust shops around here are fairly cheap.

Was it an XLR8 V1 or V2 cat-back that is rusting? Did you try to contact them directly? Curious because that is the cat-back I'm looking to purchase soon

V2.
When I contacted them I got referred to Billy boat since they're apparently do all the weld work. I got quoted $750 plus shipping to replace just the rear mufflers, so I said eff it and decided to just buy a new system entirely.
The new one I ordered came in and we looked at the pipes side by side. The welds on the new one look waaaaay better than the old one. I hope Billy boat got their shit together and slapped their welder.
The catback sounds really really good at low rpm. There is a spot of rasp past 3k rpms, but I think it's the bend in my RV6-P pipe touching the other pipe.

Yea, makes sense since Billy Boat makes the XLR8 exhaust. That's crazy though, $750 +shipping?! You made the right choice getting a new one dude. I gotta say I'm local to XLR8 and they are awesome to me. But since they don't actually make the exhaust I guess it is Billy Boats responsibility to an extent, not sure how long you owned the system or if you live in the salt belt (I didnt reread thread, so if that's posted I apologize). And I would say the rasp is most likely the RV6 j-pipe. That's a relief to hear your new one looks better, I was literally on the phone with them today talking about it. Do you have resonated or non-resonated? Debating between the 2, leaning towards resonated since it's a DD and I plan on RV6 HFPC+ATLP V3-R J-Pipe.

Sent you a PM. I would get the resonated one for sure. I lived in Texas during the time of ownership so no salt here.
I am glad they found a good use for their discarded toilet paper tubes.
I must say the ride and handling is improved and you can feel it while cornering or taking a highway loop at speed. 10/10 would recommend. (Tein Street Advance Z)

My sister got me a pretty cool license plate frame, and I added another Honda to the collection.
Currently I/H/E with Ktuner. Ordered a K24A2 longblock and exedy stage 1 which should be here by saturday.
