No I wish it was done but it just takes forever haha I mean it’s pretty good for what it is. I was going to paint it too but wanted to polish it since I never have polished anything that was bare. That’s a bummer about the bubbling hopefully my covers and manifold last

Before

After. Definitely not perfect but obviously it’s not a show car it was just to make me feel better when I pop the hood

Before.....blahhhh

After

Gotta hook everything up and replace a trans mount. Unfortunately with the intake manifold spacer it is hitting a little when the hood is closed but I’ll fix it. Can’t wait for spring

sawzaww the hood bracing off!!!!!!!!!!!
you dont need it anyway!!!!!!

that's what my buddy did with the MDX spacer. cut the hood bracing so that it can clear!

and awesome work polishing!
I like it better than paint...maybe if I get bored enough, i'll take apart my car to polish!!!! lol

I wasn’t really sure if that would weaken the hood at all. Okay cool I’ll probably do that then because I am not making the spacer thinner! And thanks, the polishing took a while but it was actually kinda fun and I’d like to get more products to do more. Pics look better than it does up close though but oh well. Race car

I searched for like 30 minutes....I believe it was Losiglow...
Losiglow, in order to save weight, cut out ALL of the bracing. he documented it here, but I just cant find pics or the thread.

in the thread; he did rudimentary tests....sitting on the hood.
as soon as he got off the hood, the hood sprang back to original shape.
Said it did not affect a single thing.

my buddy only cutout the spot where the manifold was touching the brace.

in the name of Racecar, I'll most likely cut out ALL of the bracing as well.

I'm not cutting your hood. It already hurt me enough to cut mine to fit my intake. I'm not cutting yours.

Regulator mocked up. Need to order a few fittings, mount the pump and filters but made a good start. Thanks Beans for the help

My f150 5.4 decided to eat a cylinder. This was by far the worst motor swap iced done. My wife’s dad did most of the work

New motor ready to go in

So I decided to tackle the valve delete...not fun at all. The fittings were totally seized so I’ll have to order new lines

Took our oldest boy to Momster Jam. It was awesome!

Hahahaha kinda true. The Ford field was just a coincidence but I really do like them except when the truck motor took a dump. This Acura is my new favorite car though. I really enjoy working on everything on it

although I curse a lot under the hood, it really is a joy to work on compared to other makes and models.

in hindsight, nothing is particularly hard with the Honda's. but during the wrenching, best believe I fuck up....I am JustonJacks, afterall.

No big updates unfortunately. I did cut some of the hood bracing off and the hood shuts as it should now. Beanstune plugged in all my wires and we started the car for just a minute. It was nice to hear the car again. Ive just been busy detailing/working on other people's cars lately. I am one fitting away from the mustang's fuel lines being complete which I am very happy about-Push lock fittings are such a pain!!! But anyways Im going to post up a couple pics of a 1997 BMW 540i 6sp I polished a couple weeks ago, turned out awesome. I will update soon when TL is out of the garage

Turned out really nice

Car has 140k on it. Interior is very nice also forgot to take a picture but didn’t do much work except leather conditioner and clean windows. Paint took about 3 hours but we’ll worth it
