Hii, my names Janagan and im from Toronto, Canada (yes i know the maple leafs suck haha) and ive been on acurazine for a few months now, decided its about time i make my self a build thread sooo here goessss
This is when i first got my car back in April, when i got the car there were ugly pinstripes on the hood and the side of the body, figured it was something i can remove easily, later to find out it was painted on ...
I got rid of the ugly moon visor that was above my sunroof, was not a fan of it, the previous owner did not have the type s rims with the car so i was sadly on those ugly wheels for the time being
Finally i changed my wheels to some summer tires, these i also got from the previous owner, i dont mind them too much lol
Next were some HID's for my fog lights
and i decided to get my self a 12 inch Alpine type R sub, i love this sub, sound quality is amazing and def helps make my commute to and from work bearable lol
Decided to plasti dip my grill, it came out pretty good
I spent a few hours one day wet sanding my car, got rid of all the pinstripes on the car, and then polished the shit out of it, a few months later i decided to get Wes to polish my car completely and this is how it turned out ...
At this point i was busy with school and wasnt making enough money to really do anything else, for 4 months it sat like that without any mods and then i decided to catch up on missed time, so i went on a shopping spree
I got my self some BC coilovers and some new wheels, the wheels i decided to keep them a surprise for a few more days ...
Was the car already dropped on a suspension? Looks lowered.
Thanks mann, i thought it was lowered too, i looked at the suspension and it looked stock to me, wont matter in a few weeks, going to be much more lowered when the coils go in, waiting for the last bit of snow to go away and a nice warm day to install them
Any reason why you didn't choose to pull the BSM (body side molding), while wet sanding/polishing? Also, interested to hear how the wet sanding process went. What sand paper, and how much pressure, etc.....

In for pics after the coils to in!
Thanks alot man!
To be honest i didn't really think about removing the BSM, i really never put thought into it, now that you mentioned it i wish i did lol, i'll prob do it when the weather gets better
I believe i used 2000 grit sandpaper(i bought 1500 and 2000, don't recall which one i ended up using), the pinstripes were painted right on top of the clearcoat, it took no pressure at all to take it off, i made sure the sandpaper was always wet and lightly scrubbed away at the paint, came off fairly easily, The hard part was to polish it after, there was a lot of pinstripes, hood, doors, on top of the truck, so to wet sand it all off and then polish it took several hours, being the first time i polished a car it came out decent, def a lot to learn about polishing but its a start lol
coils will be in soon, Canada weather is horrible, need to wait till its warmer to put them in
Yea, I'd love to see the Maple Leafs return to stardom-it's been too long....

Hey, you guys should consider coming down to KC for the National AcuraZine Meet the weekend of June 14, 2015!

Appreciate it man. haha i cant wait to see your car with your new wheels, we def need to have a photoshoot when we both have them on , im having a hard time finding center caps though, really not looking to spend $180 CAD to have them shipped from the states, the currency conversion is brutal

I'm gonna be running centercap-less I don't really like the look of those caps, and yeah they're not cheap
I hope you don't hit a pot hole... and you know how Scarborough/Toronto roads are like.
lol i know, Scarborough roads are brutal, just gotta avoid any roads that have potholes haha

KC meet would be sick! I have the summer off this year but thats a 27 hr drive for me
jersey on the other hand is 11 hrs.....hmmmm
lol thanks man, those pinstripes were hideous, im so glad there not there anymore
KC would be amazing, but that drive will be brutal ...
Here are the new wheels
Work XD9
18x9 +20 (front)
18x10 +18 (rear)
i wanted to be 18x10 all around but i couldn't find a good deal on them, someone was selling these local and i couldnt give up such a good deal
i had a chance to test fit these last weekend when the weather was actually good in Canada, the coilovers are still not installed so my car looks like a 4x4
that stretch is to much IMO i hope they stay on the bead for ya
lol i know, i actually got a good deal on some tires, going to pick up some 225/40/18 later on tonight and sell the tires i have on them now, this also gives me a chance to put the tpms sensors in them too
IMO with 225/40/18 the fronts will look better, but they won't fit your car after you lower it. You'll need both front and rear camber kits, and fender rolls. Running 9 +20 and 10 +18 will be tough.

Good luck!
yeahh im going to get a rear camber kit, fenders are already rolled, i dont think i'll need a camber kit for the front thoughh
