i've tried searching, can you help? searching for WDP with black wheels

hey guys, can you help? i need opinion and images if there are (I seem to recall one, but I can't figure out where.) I've been going for that whole "black and white theme"

I have axis hiro wheels 19x8.5 in the machined finished on a WDP lowered a hair over an inch

but I was thinking of going a little different.

I was thinking of a Black Mesh wheel with a chrome lip (approx 4") something like:

feel free to disagree/agree

but ghetto insulting not allowed.

oh... and it would be 20x10 in the back and 20x8.5 in the front.

and yes i've heard the whole staggered argument, but opinions on the wheels please.

oh AXIS HIROS for sale when I get these.

Wow...4inch lip...would be sick!!! Those wheels would look awesome!!! Just don't forget to roll your rear fenders in the back since those are 20x10 wheels and run 255/30/20tires in the rear.

sT04Louis- thanks man! your car looks awesome! i reall like the contrast with black and white, and I think as soon as I get my kit, and am brave enough to take apart my headlights, i'll be done with the exterior.

wait, I'm gonna get the 07 lip spoiler...

then i'll be done.

unless the cat-back from greddy becomes reality...

then I'll be done.

wait, and maybe an HID upgrade, and BBK system...

screw it... I'll never be done....

ed99- the offset is over 40 so my shop said it would work, and they would have to roll the fenders a bit, but I think it would look amazing. and the chrome lip would really set it off. my shop was actually talking about stretching a 245/30/20 over the rear wheels. since the drop with Tein SS would be aound 1.25-1.5. i dunno.... i'll let them figure it out. been going to them for a couple years now, and they work on some AMAZING cars and racing/drift competitions. (you should see the SR20 he's building...)

I actually thought (for a sec) of painting the roof panel NBP a la the new MBZ s600, but I decided against it.

thanks for the opinions everyone!

anyone else?

check out rodney's whip. i think its rodney77nyc or something. hes had two different set of black 20"s w/ polished lips. his old falkens were ok.. but the new Seva-s. FIRE

hey st04louis... for some reason, your rims look too dark too me. maybe its the absence of a polished lip or it could just be the photos... are they light weight? they look like racing wheels...

i've been looking for black rims w/ polished lip for my car. im done with the chrome's.
i think the Sevas are sick and HP's (ed99) are fire.

my next add on to my black and white theme is going to paint my roof and roof spoiler to color match my wheels. as for how light/racing they are i am not sure. they are the ACE Allure 19x8.5. in person they always look better than in a pic, although i will never get a chrome lip , way too many people have them and it only looks good on rims few and far between.

man with a 20x10 rear you cant stretch more than a 255/30/20. I have it on my 20x10 and the lip of the wheel sticks out way further than the tire. And ur gonna need to shave at least 5mm have the wheels fit. it has to be a 35mm rear with a 255/30/20 tire.

I know some are going to say if you shave the 40mm 5mm your going to end up with a 45mm. I still dont belive that crap as my wheels where originally 40mm and i shaved 5mm and no more rubbing. And a couple more members are running 20x10 with a 35mm. SO yea talk to your shop and make sure you let them know this.

If you shave 5mm off of the rim it makes it a 45mm offset and i didnt have to shave any off of mine i just hat to roll the fenders
