I think I'm going to print out pictures of your car, tell everyone it's mine. Just like George did when he was carrying around supermodel pictures and telling people it was his girlfriend.

Great Style, Beautiful CAR!!!!

O.... lol... i was just kidding anyway! But yah, I wanted it slight, so I only put one coat, but in that shot facing the street, the close up of the engine bay you can see it very good on the side of the fender.

Looks good.

I don't like the silvered B-pillars. Seems like black would have matched the rest of the car better. But very nice work in general. Keep it up!!!

BTW... This is Sean! Send me the info about that bumper shipping!

The total material for the paint cost me around $1200-$1500. I did it myself.

Just out of curiosity, but where does the money go towards? The only things I would think is the paint itself and the prep work. I can't picture that being $1500. Sorry, I'm not questioning your price but just wondering where it goes (I'm going to get a bodykit painted so I'm wondering on charges).

Overall, nicely done!

Maybe he is including the tools ie HVLP Paint Gun, Man made paint booth, and paint (if it's something like a house of kolors paint it may be more than that of a regular Dupont paint), Masking products, buffer and pads, 3M finishing products etc... Just guessing here but when you add everything up it evens out.

I'll start from the bottom up, but roughly, things like the plastic primer for the body kit + the hardener, primer sealer + the hardener (series for plastics), which in dupont terms is value-shade, and the value shade I needed was VS5, which is a mixture of VS4 + VS7, then the value shade (VS7) for the hood, which is for metal, which is different from the VS7 for plastics, then the basecoat (royal blue w/blue pearl) + basemaker + hardener, then the white pearl + basemaker + hardener, then the black base coat + basemaker + hardener, then the clear coat + hardener..... and on and on and on... and some of those hardeners I had to buy a couple pints of, and I used some reducer here and there, and some flex agent here and there for the body kit, and not to mentions my tools, i.e. tape, sand paper, masking paper, all my buffing/polishing stuff, so yah, it adds up VERY quickly, believe me. And I did all the paint work at my school in a professional booth with a professional gun. LOTS-A-WORK, but I'm very satisfied!

I have had my 2006TL nhp for 18 months and I am really considering painting the whole vehicle BLue. What do you guys think of the fact that the door jambs and other interior areas were left black in this particular TL. I want to do the same as KOG in case I decide to sell in the future I could Always get it painted OEM and still have the interior black. TIA guys for any input.

Thank god this thread was revived, this is strait up the sickest TL I have ever seen, Hows about some new pics!? This acr is strait eye candy, take a photo shoot bro, and have you tried getting this car into a mag? Im sure itll get attention since there arent many TLs that are famous, and whats the deal with performance parts? any plans for that?

Either way Congrats on your beautiful car man!

Thanks A LOT man, it's good to see the hard work, and creativity God has given me is appreciated by fellow Acura owners. I did get a system installed, very clean, and I'm getting an airbrushed design on it, which is going to be a signature for Team KOG. I REALLY want to start showing it off in shows and in mags towards the end of the year, top of next for sure (everything will be done by then) but I have NO IDEA where or when local shows are, or how to get it in mags. If anybody's in the So Cal area, or has any knowledge of that type of stuff, PLEASE let me know.

And about performance... the only thing I really want on it is a supercharger... I love the quietness of the stock exhaust with the ROAR of the intake when I step on it... but I don't have $4k to blow on the sc.
