Hello there from Akron, Ohio. Just bought a 07 TL Type S with 120k. Ive been looking for a TL-S manual within 300 miles from me for a couple years now and this popped up at the Honda research facility where a buddy of mine works, on their internal classifieds and he let me know. So the car basically fell into my lap since I wouldnt have been able to see it otherwise. Im loving it so far, Already had the timing belt and water pump done, newer tire, intake resonator delete, stage 3 exhaust, tint. My plans are interior LEDs and HFPC and J pipe, trunk liner and a few misc odds and ends like updating the navi since its still the original v3.55 07 disc.

I have yet to see another Type S in the Akron area! There aren't even very many base TL's in the area it seems like. Where did you get your window tint done at and would you recommend them? I want to get mine done soon but haven't really started looking for a place to do it yet.

Previous owner had it done and he lived in Tenessee for most of the time and moved up to Columbus last year so no idea where he had it done.

save money by not buying the updated navi disc, as it wont bring any new graphics or anything new for that matter.

hell, I dont even know who uses the factory nav any more...it just plain sucks and 120 dollar disc wont change how bad it sucks.

As do I now. In my other vehicles I just used my phone but the large screen, no wires and no mounting sure makes the factory navi convenient.

What makes it suck? So far its been working fine for me. Only had to use it twice, but put in the address and go where it tells you.

Congrats... Every time I think my TLS is getting a little long in the tooth, I see a story like this!

And I 2nd the notion about not getting an updated disc. Its way easier (and cheaper) to just use google maps on your phone.

I use it as well, and especially in my wifes new Toyota Highlander, we use the factory nav often. Updated disc was very beneficial to me since I live in the far Chicago suburbs that are growing likes weeds. On my original 07 nav disc there was not a single street to be seen in my area as it all built up after that disc was made. Just dont spend full retail on it. I purchased an OEM 2013 disc from ebay for 50 shipped. There was some seller that was letting them go for great prices. You'll have to do some searching for them though.

Congrats on the purchase that car looks incredibly clean for the mileage. I like what I see! No curb rash is key :-) one of my pet peeves is wheels all destroyed by rash and those things look great. Even though I like the ebony interior more, I have always had a thing for the CBP with the taupe interior. That combo just looks classy!!

Agree wit JTS and Mr. Bell, use my factory NAV all the time, my NAV unit flaked out 10 months ago, extended warranty covered the replacement, came with update, works great. Car looks great! Welcome to the Type S team.....
